We've gotten more open looks than we've given. And we're spacing the floor better on the offensive end. Defense needs to improve but this group is getting better. Some crisper passing and better movement today too. More of that, please.

If we could hit wide open threes, we'd be up even more. What's your point? [br Against a team that can actually shoot, we'd be in serious trouble because we can not identify open shooters. Good thing they can't shoot. I thought the "we give up so many looks" would have made that point obvious. Yeah and my point is every game is different. It's not necessarily a given that leaving shooters open will "get us in trouble" because we have the ability to hit the three as well in any given game.

Would like to see White get some more minutes now to get in game shape. He is going to be important if we want to beat the Cuse zone.

They're shooting 34% from 3 on the year. Having them jack threes isn't the worst idea.

Some crisper passing and better movement today too. More of that, please. We have stepped up our defensive intensity considerably starting at 5 minutes left in the first half. Great block a few minutes ago by Ike to help cause the shot clock violation.

If we could hit wide open threes, we'd be up even more. What's your point? His point is 100% spot on. Our defense is atrocious and our opponent is getting wide open looks everywhere on the floor. They happen to be missing all of them. Because they're not robots....it would be silly to expect them to hit just because they're open. Maybe we're giving up those looks because their other looks have been hurting us more? Just a thought

I'd like every shot to be contested too but Bryant can't shoot the 3. Are they getting looks there? Yes. We're getting more looks than they are. And we're getting easy 2's. Bryant isn't getting easy 2's. We're getting better.

We also stopped trying to triple team guys inside, so that they didn't have as many easy options on the perimeter, either. Much better defense in the second half.

Which part did you not understand? Pretty much all of it. I really don't understand what you mean either. It's kind of strange to call us Arrogant U. Just saying.

Thankfully the first ten minutes were an aberration. Good results today for Peak, Copeland, and Cameron. Got to find a way to get Mourning some more minutes in these games because Hayes is limited in what he can do and Govan is still learning. Derrickson improved in his overall game involvement today and his rebounding in particular. Reason for optimism: Peak is becoming more of a PG, Copeland continues to develop into a potential star, Cameron is a major part of the team on both ends of the court, White is playing, not sitting, and all of the freshmen are coming along nicely. Reason for concern: Hoyas barely outrebound a much smaller team and continue to struggle on the boards, DSR cannot find his shot, Tre is not playing, and the post position remains a work-in-progress.

Wow. A week later and now the post position is the problem? People are calling hayes limited? The opinions around here change so rapidly.
