He could help. I'd rather see them push for the Williams kid or others 1st but he works hard and will be a solid player. Just think long term there is not as much upside here as I would like to see... Definitely sound reasoning Yaboy, I like the two Williams kids better also but Moultrie isn't far behind them imo.. Moultrie is #2 in the dark uni's Who are the 2 Williams players? I can only think of Jelani (whom I really like)....

Dropped like 12 dymes in the finals vs Dematha and collected a W

While visits are still being set up at the moment, Jamir Moultrie, one of the best prospects out of the 2017 class in the DMV, has begun to narrow down his list of schools as he now stands at a final seven:
La Salle Monmouth Rhode Island Georgia Butler Murray State Arkansas State

It surprises me that a player who was named 1st team WCAC as a Jr. didn't get a stronger look from Gtown..

I hope this is true that the staff is trying to get involved late here, I like the kids game & potential..
One of the top players in the WCAC to boot, makes me wonder..

My feeling is you can't bank on Waters so if you like a kid(Moultrie) offer & see what happens..

Says he is deciding but that list of schools doesn't have us on it. So what are the chances he would consider Hoyas at this point?

I am at the point that I view reading the individual Recruiting threads with the same detachment that I view looking at brand new Maseratis through the showroom window. I love what I see, but I know that I'm never getting one.

I would say that it depends on if the kid is dead set on leaving home. UGA, Monmouth and LaSalle are not comparable to a GTown offer if he is open to staying local. We have better comp, facilities and we are the closest to his home..........

From folks who have seen him play a lot- is he an impact player in the Big East?

Who is a good comp to Moultrie? He seems to be a score first under-sized combo.

The kid seems to love being in the gym, that's a good trait to have..

Who is a good comp to Moultrie? He seems to be a score first under-sized combo. He reminds me of Frank Mason coming out of HS, smallish lead guard but physically strong..

Important to remember he doesn't have an offer, maybe that changes today or sometime soon...

Who is a good comp to Moultrie? He seems to be a score first under-sized combo. A score first under-sized combo is exactly what he is. He has the talent to be a solid, four-year contributor and is a hard worker. Mac had a PG transfer in this year and he'll supposedly play a lot off the ball this year. He's not nearly as good as he is of course, but his style of play reminds me of Damian Lillard.
