As reported in the Asbury Park Press, Eric Sleepy Floyd, 55, former Hoya and 13 year NBA star with more than 5,000 assists is employed by JobsyWobsy, as the President of Business Development. The company is located in Tinton Falls, NJ, and helps high school students build their resumes and put together documents to help with career choices. There is no cost to the teens. Sleepy is part of a free workshop for H.S. students on Saturday, November 21st in Edison, at the East Coast Conditioning Sports Plex, as part of "Beyond the Sporting Field." The workshop will be held from 9:00am until 12 noon and will include a speech by Karl Towns Sr., father of NBA rookie, Karl-Anthony Towns. JobsyWobsy gives career counseling, helps kids prepare cover letters, and teaches them how to fill out college and job applications at no charge to the teens. Floyd, retired from the NBA in 1995 after starring at Houston, Golden State and other teams. He currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. That title makes it sound pretty creepy. I won't dignify these comments with a sarcastic response. However, everyone knows that Sleepy was the assist man in the NBA with over 5,000 assists in his career, and is doing wonderful work helping high school students/athletes plan their careers.
