hello all,
i am am about to deploy to the Middle East in support of military operations. Needless to say tv channels are severely limited and watching the Hoya games nearly impossible. However, wifi is not only available but actually very good. Does anybody know of an app or website that I could access/buy to watch the games? Thanks to all who reply ...

We got all national games on CBS and ESPN, Fox Sports 1 wasn't broadcasting yet but if you check the schedules on the posted links, it shows the generally available programming. If on a US regional broadcast in my time overseas, AFN didn't necessarily get the game. I did watch a view Hoya games via the Internet but the bandwidth at our base made it somewhat problematic at times. At other times, I listened to Rich Chvotkin on the Internet. Good luck!

Thank you all for the kind words. I do appreciate it, but the reason I volunteered for this deployment is that I consider it an honor and a privilege to represent our nation on foreign soil. So, thank you all for supporting the US Department of Defense and the military branches. HOYA SAXA !

When I was stationed overseas, I had good results using a slingbox. I kept it connected to my satellite dish here in DC and was able to watch in real time anywhere I had a decent high speed connection. Don't rely on AFN for Hoyas games. They can only show a limited number and have an unhealthy obsession with Duke.

Sling box is a good relatively cheap option. One time cost. My sister has one that I have used to watch Hoya skins and caps games here in philly for years. The key is having a home tv or good friends/relatives tv in the dc tv market. Won't do you any good if the tv it is connected to is in Boston. Also has to be someone you know well as you can actually change the channel they're watching remotely so you don't want to create any animosity. Can also access and watch Dvr if they have one to set recording of games to watch later. Good luck. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

The Georgetown Radio Network is now up and running via TuneIn. Click here: goo.gl/PfRUfr about 15 minutes before any regular season game's scheduled tip-off and you'll get the live stream of the game on radio.

Slingbox works great and if you don't want to interrupt someone else's TV watching you could always pay someone for the cost of an additional box in their house. You wouldn't even need the slingbox plugged into a tv just powered on and hooked into the cable/satellite feed. It's usually about $6 to $10 / month for the box and I'd recommend getting a DVR on that box so you can tape and watch games when it's convenient for you to watch. You could also do that with all TV programming as well. The slingbox itself is about $300 to purchase for an HD version. Everything can be played over any laptop with an internet connection. Thank you for your service and return safe.
