He might end up tied with Cal for vacated titles after this is all said and done. In other news, PT is hot on the trail:

“Andre was the person who made sure nobody got into trouble,” Pitino said. “To just watch and make sure they stayed out of trouble. And obviously, according to this book, if it’s true, that wasn’t the case.” Tom Jurich, the Louisville athletic director, spoke first via phone. Jurich addressed when he first heard about the allegations in August. “Got a call from the associate AD at Indiana and said their top booster wanted us to identify some pictures,” Jurich said when asked when he first heard of the allegations. “I believe that’s how it came about. But it was definitely someone from Indiana.” “Do you feel that Indiana turned Louisville in?” a reporter asked. “I have no comment,” Jurich replied. The book is being published by a company in Indiana. Indiana head coach Tom Crean wasted little time before commenting on the matter, releasing this statement to Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated moments after Pitino’s press conference: “Any assertion our basketball program had anything to do with the situation at Louisville is flat-out wrong.” Chuck Smrt, who spent 17 years on the NCAA Enforcement Staff, has been hired by the university to conduct an independent investigation. As for McGee, UMKC announced Friday afternoon that he’s been placed on administrative leave. collegebasketball.nbcsports.com/2015/10/02/louisvilles-rick-pitino-responds-to-allegations-that-andre-mcgee-provided-paid-escorts-for-players-recruits/

I don't understand. What's the problem? Just some loyal girls doing their utmost for the good old U of L. Bwahahahaha. If Denny Crum were dead, he'd be rolling over in his grave.

I was wondering why Peyton Siva was all after Jenna Shea. If you dont know whho Jenna Shea is. She is the instagram hooker to the stars. I wonder if Siva got at her through this. James Harden blew 10k for 1 night with her.

No wonder we can't recruit against some of these programs.

I don't know if I'm more stunned by the allegations that Louisville entertained its recruits (and their fathers) in this manner, or by the apparent "dropping of a dime" on this misconduct by an Indiana University booster. I have no doubt that Crean is accurate in his assertion that his basketball program was not involved with the bombshell news.
In any event, another welcome addition to the Atlantic Coast Conference. May have a couple of school's blocks of tickets (UNC and UL) at the 2016 tournament at the Phone Booth available for resale.

Nor so surprisingly, we are hearing crickets instead of sanctimonious drivel from Jay Bilas and Dick Vitale in response to the news from Louisville.
Just finished reading through the various articles that have been posted. Seems that the alleged madam reportedly employed her own daughters for the purpose of "entertainment" of the UL recruits. If that doesn't make one wonder about the sanctity of the family unit, nothing will.

It's sick all the way around.
interesting how Louisville had there press conference on a Friday afternoon ....not sure this one is going to be forgotten so quickly, especially with book on the way.

I would ordinarily be suspicious of the Friday 5:45 pm news conference, as it is axiomatic that you dump bad news on a Friday afternoon. However, in fairness to UL, the news broke on that very afternoon, and I believe that they were being as proactive as possible. Arguably, they could have acted earlier (i.e, when they first learned of the allegations in August) and tried to get out with their position before the book was released, to try and preempt the ugliness that has ensued.
The video of Rick Pitino is fascinating. He acknowledged that he tried to conduct his own investigation (probably at a restaurant after hours), and that he was muzzled by Louisville's compliance department. As easy a target as Pitino is, I am inclined to believe him. No one is that good an actor. He looked shaken. I think even he is horrified at being lumped in with Larry Brown and Jim Boeheim. It is also interesting to note how Lousiville's AD and Pitino reacted at the presser; no denials of allegations and no promises of ultimate vindication. Instead, perceived sorrow, disappointment, and (to use Pitino's phrase), heartbreak.

I'm wondering if any criminal charges will come out of this story. Adults providing prostitutes for underage recruits....and where was this assistant coach getting the money for this....and how was it moved around to hide its illegal purpose....lots of potential felonies there.

It is so rare these days to see a parent taking the time to pass on the secrets and traditions of the family business to the children. Warms the cockles of my heart.

The recruits must all have been 18. I can't imagine such a prestigious program promoting relations with minors.
