Scottie Lewis (Class of 2019 SG/Team Rio)
Lewis had a strong showing on Wednesday night as he had multiple explosive finishes. The class of 2019 Team Rio (NJ) wing finished with just eight points, but was still productive for his team. He has improved his ball handling ability and even ran the point at times. He has a great amount of upside and will continue to make noise as AAU season continues through July.

Indiana's Tom Crean, St. John's Chris Mullin, Georgetown's John Thompson III and many other high level coaches watched Lewis and Antoine this weekend, but one coach really stuck out to Antoine.
"I'm going to be honest with you," Antoine said. "Whenever any coach comes up and watches our game I'm usually pretty chill. But when coach Cal [John Calipari] came up, not going to lie, Jalen Gaffney and I saw him come up to watch us, that was the first time I've ever been starstruck by a coach."
When asked if having high level coaches like that come out and watch him play, Lewis says that it's just motivation, knowing that he's doing the right things.
"As far as my work ethic is concerned, it definitely has," Lewis said. "It means that all of the work that we have put in together, it means that we are on the right track. We are taking our training to the next level, and we are looking forward to seeing where that goes."
With hundreds of coaches watching their games over the past couple days and Calipari watching on Thursday night, Team Director Brian Klatsky said that Kentucky as well as Duke have said that they will keep tabs on both Lewis and Antoine.
"They have both reached out during the season," Klatsky said. "They both said they have their eyes on them. Kentucky was here [Thursday] and [Friday] It's so early in the process, we are just trying to keep them grounded. Helping them doing really well in school. Most programs aren't looking at rising sophomores, so we are just trying to keep them focused."
As for representing the state, Klatsky says that while many say the talent level might be low in the Tri-State area, the youngsters playing for championships are showing that is just not quite the case.

Josh Nickleberry 6'4 SG Josh is a 6’4 shooting guard that has great feel for the game. He is an athletic and big guard. He is a big contributor on the offensive and defensive side of the ball as he is very vocal. This weekend he was making many three-point shots and showed that he can score the ball on all three levels. Josh is really starting to get noticed by different college coaches. “My recruitment is going really well, I have five offers right now from Baylor, Virginia Tech, VCU, Wake Forest and Howard, so I would say its going the way I want it to.” He is also hearing from a number of colleges a lot including Penn State, North Carolina, NC State, Xavier, East Carolina, Miami, Florida and College of Charleston.” He has visited North Carolina, Georgetown, Maryland and NC State. He mentioned that he hopes to visit Penn State soon. makeplayz.com/2019-josh-nickleberry-talks-game-recruitment/

Those last two kids play on the same HS team? Those must be some fun games to watch.

Ending the summer in style, we had a front row look at some of the very best prospects from the 2019 and 2020 classes from off of the east coast. The Hoop Group Future All-American Camp is always a must stop along the way as elite camp directors Austin Kelley and Sha Brown brought in some of the top commodities from the younger ranks along with some of the more intriguing, not-well-known names just yet, to Albright College for a four day camp affair. Looking back, we give a quick backdrop as to what we saw and during our time spent in Reading, Pennsylvania.
BEST ATHLETE: Scottie Lewis gets the call here as the 6-foot-5 wing has the perfect body and athleticism that would allow for him to be an entrant into the Olympics within a track and field event. The 2019 wing is one of the most graceful athletes in the high school ranks where he showed off mind-boggling bounce at the basket and unbelievable attempts in the dunk contest on Saturday evening. One of the very best prospects in the 2019 class, Lewis has developed his outside jumper, a shot that he displayed throughout his time in Reading, but it his length and athleticism that makes him such a star-studded recruit where he impacts the game on both ends of the floor; his quality motor only adds to just how great the Team Rio star is and can be.
BEST PROSPECT: There was a bevy of top tier recruits in the 2019 class suiting up on the floor at Albright College but no one has better upside than Bryan Antoine. The 6-foot-4 off guard has tremendous ball skills in tow already but the upside is even better for the Jersey native. He can score the ball at all three levels on the floor, is graced with excellent athleticism as he makes for excellent finishes and leaves a dent on the weakside glass, and has become a better play maker and facilitator when the ball is placed into his hands. The next step is playing with urgency each possession but the budding potential out of Antoine is as good as it gets.

The trio of Alex Klatsky, Scottie Lewis, and Bryan Antoine that made up a deadly combination for the Team Rio 16-under squad this past summer, will head off to Florida for an unofficiail visit on September 10. Expect another trip to be made in the coming weeks to the University of Kentucky for the prospering recruits out of New Jersey.

They are both so long, skilled, quick and bouncy! So Calipari is keeping the slush money in a coffee cup now - crafty!
