Niven Glover’s stock is absolutely soaring. One of the top available seniors this spring, Glover is in no rush to make a college decision and is first expected to set a handful of visits later this week before likely committing sometime next month. Just last week, Georgetown, Oregon and Wake Forest offered, and each are expected to receive a visit from him. I would also not be surprised to see some others enter the picture because of the dearth of quality high school prospects that remain uncommitted at this point in time and also because of his versatility. While Glover continues to round out his overall skill set, the three-star senior is one of the best, most explosive athletes in the high school game. Finding the right fit and system is of the utmost importance, which is why he will carefully navigate his high-major recruitment. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/wednesday-s-leftovers-dishing-on-kentucky-missouri-more

We killed them, didnt we? 😳 I can't wait to see how Patrick & Co. puts all this talent together! We did, but I still think it is one of the all time great nicknames!

He’s clearly an exceptional athlete and has been, presumably, known to coaches for the last few years. Just seems odd to blow up months after he’s done playing his senior year.

I really don’t know how we could make room for Glover...even if we wanted him.

I really don’t know how we could make room for Glover...even if we wanted him. It's possible PE and staff are wanting to lock him down for 2020 (re-class), at least that's what I would do. PE and staff can show him all the possibilities of being a Hoya on and off the court while locking him down for the future. Come 2020, he could walk in to a team that's at the top of its conference and primed to make its second consecutive tournament appearance since 2015.

Didnt start playing basketball seriously until freshman in high school. Didnt make varsity until a sophomore. He has a video on youtube where he explains his story. He has been homeless. Kid works a job while playing ball.

Obviously you push to stay in the loop if the kid is the second coming of Jimmy Butler. But we shouldn’t be looking at swings unless we think they are absolutely NBA guys given our glut at 3 (Pickett, Alexander, Gardner). We don’t need another reach.

I see him as the perfect player to sit a year and learn and he would be ok with it. Then be ready to play minutes as a sophomore.

Just because we are looking doesn’t mean someone is intending on leaving yet. As for why Glover is blowing up it’s a mix of his Overtime game performance mixed with being one of the few uncommitted players.

Whether it's 100% the player's choice or not, or maybe even some Tre Campbell-type "not gonna play ball this year" situation... the spot has to be open already, right? Otherwise, if you think the offers are legit (and there's no reason to think they're not), that'd be a pretty terrible look for Pat.

No someone is leaving because talking to players is one thing but bringing them on campus for official visits mean that there is a spot to fill. You only get so many visits in a 2 year span.

Yes if they sign one of the guys someone is leaving. That player may not know they won’t be a Hoya next year yet though.

Ewing is pro-actively going to ask someone to leave the team...?

24 per rolling two year period It's now 28 over a 2 year period. Rules were updated August 15, 2018 to accommodate addition of high school student athletes being granted five visits during their junior year and five during their senior year fit a total of 10 possible official visits....

Not sure how reliable or accurate these tweets are. I’m particularly interested in Hyland.
