1. So it will still cost $70B. 2. Raising taxes to the tune of $135B a year is good? 3. "Could raise somewhere in the range of..." That sounds solid. My guess is a tax of that nature might alter the behavior of those who make such trades. I'm horrified that you wouldn't trust Obama on matters of fiscal responsibility. I sense some hidden racism there somewhere. And treason, too! I love how we go from talking about a hypothetical Bernie Sanders plan to blaming Obama (who has nothing to do with it and will be out of office) and charging racism, the reading comprehension here is truly astounding. Superb job saxacd. Also, a FTT "might alter the behavior of those who make such trades"? That's kind of the point - discourage high speed trading that benefits only the brokerages at the expense of the clients, encourage a longer holding period, and decrease volatility. We had one till 1966, time to reinstitute it. I like the idea of an FTT a lot better than the idea of *free* University (there should be some skin in the game).

Hmm, so a tax that is intended to discourage a certain activity. I wonder if the actual tax revenues will lower than the estimated $135B?

I wonder what deal he worked with Bush to drop out. The parting "everyone else should drop out too so Jeb can rise out of 6th place" message is ridiculous.

So Hillary has come out against the Keystone XL pipeline:
WTH does that even mean? A distraction?

So Hillary has come out against the Keystone XL pipeline: WTH does that even mean? A distraction? It means it's a distraction from her efforts to pass herself off as a sincere progressive as opposed to a shapeshifting corporate friend.

So Hillary has come out against the Keystone XL pipeline: WTH does that even mean? A distraction? How can you not know what that means?? Without the pipeline, we will have to find other means to transport the Tequila??

It actually is a refreshingly honest answer. It means she is annoyed that environmentalists are treating this pipeline as the defining issue of the day when it isn't, but she will oppose it so she can move the climate/environmental debate on to issues she thinks are much more important.
The distortion of environmental priorities by groups looking for a fund-raising hook is a very common frustration among Democratic policy people in Congress but is rarely said out loud.

Honest and Hillary can not be used in the same sentence.
Good thing she had nothing to do with the Huma Abedin special appointment...
She probably even lies in her sleep...
