Would you like to add the number that shows how many people have dropped out of the workforce entirely?
Would you care to note that workforce participation as a percentage of population is at its all time low?
Or does thst not suit your lionizations of the Democrat Party?
While you are at it, please add in that those on the government teat are at an all time high.
That's quite a picture.
Kudos to Mr. Obama.

My point was not to blame him entirely but anyone can cherry pick numbers and find something to crow about. Everyone who gives up looking for work is no longer counted among the unemployed. Kind of a double edged sword statistically, no?
More and more Americans are on the dole under Obama. Not his fault but a statistic.

DAV's are not "on the dole". Thank you for your service. My point is that one can play statistical games all day long and point to facts that make the case.
It still feels like a weak economy to me. No statistical backing here, just good old fashioned baseless perception.

Irrespective of any political party or election issues, I agree that the economy is worse than is being let on. The cost of everything is going up, wages aren't going up, good jobs that left are still gone and what has come in to 'replace' them are lower-quality.
Some time in the not too distant future we're going to have to figure out how to adjust to a system where we just don't need everyone to work.

Don't disagree that the economy is weaker than numbers suggest.

Ben Carson: Coon of the Year Why would you repeat on here an ill thought out tweet from Professor Butler of U Penn, especially with no context? Such an invective makes you, once again, come across as a narrow minded, insensitive a$$hole, something at which you excel.

I quote a tenured Ivy League professor, and I'm the narrow minded one. That makes a ton of sense.

I said you were because of the tone of the statement and the lack of context. But then again, I frequently find you tone deaf.

Because now we're not talking about the fact that the top three contenders for Republican nomination for President are indefensible jokes.

Then should one of them win the transition will be seamless... Even though I am completely opposed to their positions, should Bush, Rubio, Paul, whoever, win the nomination, they're at least actual people. There is nothing serious about Trump, Carson, or Fiorina. They are an absolute embarrassment to the country as candidates in a way that goes beyond ideological differences. They're clowns.

I hear you loud and clear. Just know there are a lot of people who felt that way about an absentee Senator in 2008...
