A little reminder of the guy you Republicans voted for. Proud of your President? But gee, I support his agenda as I ignore the fact that he defiles the office that he holds and abdicates America's role in the world. Good for you GOPers! Through the course of the 2016 campaign, he attacked Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals. He attacked a federal judge born in the United States of Mexican heritage, a judge who happened to be overseeing a lawsuit against Trump University. He got into a fight with a Gold Star family, who happened to be Muslim and whose son was killed in the Iraq War, after they used the platform of the Democratic National Committee to criticize his campaign proposal for a ban on Muslim immigration. As president, he twice offered kind words for the white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville, saying that among them were some “very fine people.” Later, he called National Football League players who knelt during the national anthem, in protest of policing practices in some African American communities, sons of bitches and said the owners should fire them. Now he has used a horrible vulgarity to denigrate nations whose immigrants to the United States have made valuable contributions to the country. He compounded his dismissal of those countries by asking why the United States country cannot take more immigrants from places such as Norway, which happens to be predominantly white. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-does-more-damage-to-himself-than-his-opponents-ever-manage-to-do/2018/01/13/067ce484-f878-11e7-a9e3-ab18ce41436a_story.html?utm_term=.7b2ffafc351bNot all Republicans voted for this clown

And the Republican Party as a party has wilted in the face of Trumpism.
Not all Republicans voted for this clown
Speaking of clowns, I thought Trump was only going to hire the "best people"? Here's a Trump clown: www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/meet-the-24-year-old-trump-campaign-worker-appointed-to-help-lead-the-governments-drug-policy-office/2018/01/13/abdada34-f64e-11e7-91af-31ac729add94_story.html?hpid=hp_rhp-top-table-main_drugnominee-835pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.57d60e22664bAnd for all the government bashing GOPers: Not that the federal workforce is without flaws, and not that the United States is unique. But anyone who has lived overseas comes to appreciate tax collectors who do their jobs without a hint of corruption; national park rangers who are unfailingly cheerful and well-informed; public-health workers who speed to the epicenter of a gathering epidemic. These are the women and men who protect the country, help us recover from hurricanes, send astronauts into space and make sure we get our Social Security checks on time. It’s under threat in part because Trump has simply not appointed a government. Almost one year into his administration, there are, incredibly, more key positions for which he has nominated nobody than there are confirmed appointees. Of 626 key positions requiring Senate confirmation that The Post tracks in collaboration with the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service, there are 241 confirmed, 136 formally nominated — and 245 with no nominee. Unfilled positions, says Max Stier, who heads the public-service group, include “the IRS commissioner, the ambassador to South Korea, the census director, the deputy secretary of commerce — fundamental jobs that involve central issues of governing.” www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/trump-is-destroying-a-national-treasure/2018/01/12/3f42a9ca-f70b-11e7-a9e3-ab18ce41436a_story.html

Paul Ryan purports to be a devout Catholic? Trump's comments were a little more than simply "unfortunate." Try "disturbing" and "dehumanizing". "Reports of recent disparaging remarks about African countries and Haiti have aroused great concern. As our brothers and sisters from these countries are primarily people of color, these alleged remarks are especially disturbing. All human beings are made in the image and likeness of God, and comments that denigrate nations and peoples violate that fundamental truth and cause real pain to our neighbors. It is regrettable that this comes on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and could distract from the urgent bipartisan effort to help Dreamers and those with Temporary Protected Status. As a vigorous debate continues over the future of immigration, we must always be sure to avoid language that can dehumanize our brothers and sisters." www.usccb.org/news/2018/18-009.cfmI couldn’t believe I was hearing this. But Donald went on, “Besides that, I’ve got to tell you something else. I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is. I believe that. It’s not anything they can control. . . . Don’t you agree?” He looked at me straight in the eye and waited for my reply. www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/trump-hole-comment-racist-in-the-oval-office?mbid=nl_Daily%20011218%20Nonsubs&CNDID=49123534&spMailingID=12736804&spUserID=MTgzNzEwODU2NDI3S0&spJobID=1321138695&spReportId=MTMyMTEzODY5NQS2

¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
It's about the spirit of the comments not the particular word used, both possibilities convey the same racist sentiment. It’s about Trump saying we don’t want immigrants from Africa, Haiti, and El Salvador, but we do from Norway. It's the fact his racism shapes his policies. If Dreamers were Norwegian, or looked Norwegian, a deal would have already been made. He probably wouldn't have rescinded their protections in the first place.
On a side note, pretty amazing Trump sexing prostitutes while his wife was pregnant, and having to pay two of them hush money, is only a half day story because him being a scumbag is common knowledge.

"I am not a crook!" -- Richard M. Nixon, Nov. 17, 1973 "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky!" -- William J. Clinton, Jan. 26, 1998 "I am not a racist!" -- Donald J. Trump, Jan. 14, 2018 Well, then. . .I guess I can take the Trump's word for it given his track record of accuracy and truth, right? First, many GOP lawmakers now consider lying in defense of the president to be routine, part of their normal duties as card-carrying Republicans. They don’t care that it makes them look foolish to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. They, like Trump, now operate in the populist bubble that depends on protecting Trump and reaffirming their bond with the base on behalf of white grievance. For Perdue and Cotton, defending the preference for immigrants from richer countries — i.e. whiter countries — requires they not concede that this, at bottom, is about race. www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/wp/2018/01/15/two-senators-do-backflips-to-protect-a-racist-president/?hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-d%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.97316f8cd4fc

"Three White House officials said Perdue and Cotton told the White House that they heard “house” rather than “hole,” allowing them to deny the president’s comments on television over the weekend."
These assclowns are hiding behind a distinction without a difference.
If I referred to Syracuse as a "house", but someone reported that I said "hole", would any of you question how I felt?

Sen. Leahy on Kirstjen Nielsen’s comment that Trump was talking about merit-based immigration when he said U.S. should take more people from places like Norway: “Being from Norway is not a skill.”

Delaware Senator Coons says today that Democrats will not vote to fund the government without a deal on DACA.
Or put another way, we will endanger 300,000,000 for the benefit of 800,000 (soon to be Democratic voters).
Nice.

Kirstjen Nielsen is a SFS grad but can't answer whether Norway is predominately white.
Time to make these SFS kids take science and math because Map of the Modern World is obviously not the ballbuster all the SFS kids made it out to be.
