Considering how careless Trump is with his own words and his penchant for accusing people of things on Twitter, he'd better hope the libel laws are pretty lax.

Actual quote from the President of the United States, yesterday, related to immigration:
"My position will be whatever the people in this room come up with."

Donald Trump's libel law will be simple. If I print it (or tweet it, whatever), it's not libel. If someone criticizes me in print, it's libel.

I would caution against throwing out the racism term in that it is largely overused and often misunderstood. Trump is a populist and an opportunist, but is not someone who espouses racial superiority (a la David Duke), which is a more accurate definition of racism.

Cue the misdirection to another (outdated/irrelevant) shiny object. Hillary, Benghazi, Bill's BJ, Obama, yada, yada. This guy is a piece of garbage and there's no denying or rationalizing it. This is the POTUS in the year 2018. 2018. Unreal.

I just wrote an email to Pruitt, asking him to tell Trump to curb his offensive language. I told him I worked with wonderful colleagues at the EPA from the sh_thole countries of Haiti and Nigeria. Trump should just shut up!

It is beyond sad that this country has come to this.

The law on immigrant visas is codified at 8 U.S.C. Section 1152 which contains a nondiscrimination provision. While not directly applicable to those residing in the US under temporary protected status (and I'd hazard to guess that Trump is too stupid to grasp the distinction), his comments are certainly indicative of his general mindset regarding immigrants who are not white: (a) Per country level (1) Nondiscrimination (A) Except as specifically provided in paragraph (2) and in sections 1101(a)(27), 1151(b)(2)(A)(i), and 1153 of this title, no person shall receive any preference or priority or be discriminated against in the issuance of an immigrant visa because of the person’s race, sex, nationality, place of birth, or place of residence. (B) Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to limit the authority of the Secretary of State to determine the procedures for the processing of immigrant visa applications or the locations where such applications will be processed. www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1152In enacting the INA of 1965, Congress eliminated the quota system based on national origin. It was Congress' intent to equalize immigration opportunities for groups previously subjected to discriminatory immigration laws and practices. In signing the Act, President Lyndon Johnson stated: This system [referring to the quota system in place] violates the basic principle of American democracy - the principle that values and rewards each man on the basis of his merit as a man. It has been un-American in the highest sense, because it has been untrue to the faith that brought thousands to these shores even before we were a country. Given the historical context in which the act was passed, it appears clear that Congress and the president intended to extend civil rights protections beyond the borders of the US. Immigration scholars have posited that the INA was passed with a racial egalitarian motivation. www.jurist.org/forum/2017/02/karla-mckanders-executive-actions.php

We have the new shiny thing. Canceled visit to embassy ribbon cutting in Britain because, you guessed it, Obama. This guy couldn't look more stupid or petty if he were really trying.

During the election he repeatedly called African American communities holes... Sucks the President is such an ugly person but even worse to know so many fellow Americans are cool with it.

US Ambassador to Panama has apparently resigned over Trump's demented comments. Secy of State Tillerson, any comment or are your cajones still in a jar on a shelf in the Oval Office? Any comment yet from those moral cowards Ryan, McConnell and Graham? What about Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) who criticized Trump after Charlottesville yet still stands by Trump? What about that hypocrite VP Pence? Are Trump's comments befitting a Christian? It's a sad joke that Trump is signing a proclamation to honor Martin Luther King today. And the fake tough guy refused to even face the press and answer any questions at this ceremony today. An amoral coward. January 14, 2018 is 104th World Day of Migrants and Refugees: “You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God” (Leviticus 19:34). Throughout the first years of my pontificate, I have repeatedly expressed my particular concern for the lamentable situation of many migrants and refugees fleeing from war, persecution, natural disasters and poverty. This situation is undoubtedly a “sign of the times” which I have tried to interpret, with the help of the Holy Spirit, ever since my visit to Lampedusa on 8 July 2013. When I instituted the new Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, I wanted a particular section – under my personal direction for the time being – to express the Church’s concern for migrants, displaced people, refugees and victims of human trafficking. w2.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/messages/migration/documents/papa-francesco_20170815_world-migrants-day-2018.html

A lawyer for President Donald Trump arranged a $130,000 payment to a former adult-film star a month before the 2016 election as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump, according to people familiar with the matter.
Michael Cohen, who spent nearly a decade as a top attorney at the Trump Organization, arranged payment to the woman, Stephanie Clifford, in October 2016 after her lawyer negotiated the nondisclosure agreement with Mr. Cohen, these people said.

Anyone else remember this photo from 2016? What a shame that 2LT Indrache must serve under a commander-in-chief like Trump. The photograph of Idrache, by Army Staff Sgt. Vito T. Bryant, was published Tuesday on the Facebook page of West Point’s U.S. Military Academy, and it almost immediately went viral. Part of that is Idrache’s background: He worked his way through one of the nation’s most prestigious military schools after immigrating to the United States from Haiti, earning his citizenship and serving for two years as an enlisted soldier with the Maryland Army National Guard, according to Army records. www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2016/05/25/the-story-behind-the-american-dream-photo-at-west-point-that-went-viral/?utm_term=.80cd73c8d9a8

Trump should just shut up! This will get you totally nowhere because the EPA is persona non grata in Washington, DC. And it's Pruitt who leads the retreat. You should have said that you and your wonderful colleagues worked for Fox News. And you could then have sent your email to the sh**hole-in-chief.

A little reminder of the guy you Republicans voted for. Proud of your President? But gee, I support his agenda as I ignore the fact that he defiles the office that he holds and abdicates America's role in the world. Good for you GOPers! Through the course of the 2016 campaign, he attacked Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals. He attacked a federal judge born in the United States of Mexican heritage, a judge who happened to be overseeing a lawsuit against Trump University. He got into a fight with a Gold Star family, who happened to be Muslim and whose son was killed in the Iraq War, after they used the platform of the Democratic National Committee to criticize his campaign proposal for a ban on Muslim immigration. As president, he twice offered kind words for the white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville, saying that among them were some “very fine people.” Later, he called National Football League players who knelt during the national anthem, in protest of policing practices in some African American communities, sons of bitches and said the owners should fire them. Now he has used a horrible vulgarity to denigrate nations whose immigrants to the United States have made valuable contributions to the country. He compounded his dismissal of those countries by asking why the United States country cannot take more immigrants from places such as Norway, which happens to be predominantly white. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-does-more-damage-to-himself-than-his-opponents-ever-manage-to-do/2018/01/13/067ce484-f878-11e7-a9e3-ab18ce41436a_story.html?utm_term=.7b2ffafc351b
