Kid is clearly on the rise and was a bit under the radar. They love his motor, and his athleticism and he's more naturally gifted as a ballolayer than someone like jabril. He already has a better handle and better court vision than jabril today. Not quite the beast yet. Very similar trajectory as Josh Hart when you think about it. I like this assessment Blue, it's on point imo.. A more consistent jumper is the only thing holding him back right now and his form isn't bad in my view so there's hope..

That probably prevents a higher ranking. Could be his shooting but I agree his form is good, could be the system they run at St. Anthony that prevents big stats. He's also, what ranked 105. So he's right outside 4 star status which starts at 100.

He was a second team All-State pick, and is widely regarded as one of the top players returning this season. In my view, he isn't ranked higher because he's not the most polished prospect, and his ball-handling and shooting ability isn't quite up to par compared to some of his classmates. However, it is very possible to improve in those areas, whereas measurables, physical ability, athleticism and work ethic can't be taught. He seems like a level-headed guy with his priorities in order, and that combined with his scouting profile makes me believe in him regardless of his ranking.

Also he's a tad undersized for a shooting guard which may hurt him in the rankings but if he can play and defend the point then he has superior length, height and athleticism and would be ranked much higher.

Love the staff working and getting this kid. Seems like an outstanding fit for the program. If I recall Russell Westbrook was a 3 star coming out of high school who was super athletic but a little behind offensively. Not saying Jagan is going to turn into Westbrook but you can't teach his athleticism. With some work in the gym he can and will become an offensive weapon for this team and he will have a higher ceiling than some of the other guard prospects we are in on who are better offensively and higher rated. Very excited to see how he improves his senior season. Hoya Saxa

Great news. It's also nice hearing about a kid that actually cares about academics, considering how infrequent that happens these days. Welcome!

Very excited to see how he improves his senior season. Hoya Saxa Wny you pretty much stated almost word for word what I was going to say. IMO Jagan has the 2nd highest upside of all the kids we are on in the 16 class especially if he can come in and play the 1 which sounds like the plan JT3 and staff have in mind. If Jagan was a stock, we are buying at the right time when his "ranking" is still low but has the potential for huge potential growth. We are buying Jagan on the way up. That seems to be JT3's new recruiting MO. The entire current sophomore class all committed with lower stock and and went on to have strong senior years in high school and continued to outplay their initial rankings in college. I absolutely believe Jagan will follow in their footsteps and provide an immediate impact. Out of Jagan Mosely, Bruce Brown and Curtis Jones, Jagan has the most upside and highest ceiling and it's not even close. Mosely has yet to even scratch surface of his potential. We know he has received some of the best coaching in the country from legendary coach Hurley at St. Anthony. We also know that he can play in team oriented system that Hurley has always promoted. These attributes make him a perfect fit mentally and physically for the Hoyas.

From Zagblog......
“He is a tireless and relentless worker with a high IQ on and off the court,” St. Anthony assistant Eric Harrield told SNY.tv. “He is tough yet humble and confident in his ability. He’s a young Russell Westbrook who will do whatever it takes to win. He’s a pleasure to coach.”

Great job, coaching staff! Now we know why JT in so high on Broadus. I want to commend the young man and his family for making such a wise choice. Welcome aboard, Mosely! Now in the words of Ray Charles, let's go "make it do what it do, baby!"

Like this pick up a lot. Good attitude, hard worker, good student, tough, athletic, good length, excellent defender... Jagan really meets a lot of the check boxes from my perspective. The only thing he needs is to build his skills, and that's fine--he's got another year at St. Anthony's and 4 years at Georgetown to improve his outside shooting and ballhandling. You can see that the ingredients are there in his tape, he just needs to get a little more consistent with it. But I'm happy to have a guy with a high ceiling and think Mosely's future is pretty bright.
I really like his enthusiasm for the school too. Committed to Georgetown shortly after visiting and getting the offer and really seems to be all in.
Now, let's grab Curtis Jones or Bruce Brown to slot in next to him. Need 2 guards this year, after only bringing in one true ballhandler in the last 3 classes. Campbell, Johnson, Mosely and Jones or Brown would be a really solid core of young guards, with Foster coming in the following year.
