Hubb was awesome this weekend. We also have no chance.

PG Prentiss Hubb 6-3 170 Gonzaga 2018 *Undecided While his diminutive backcourt mate gets a lot of press, Hubb was every bit as good and showed why he is considered among the top lead guards in his class. He was the dunk contest runner-up, finishing with some nice throw downs in transition along with ability to create off of the dribble. His shooting was a bit streaky and he can work on his decision-making, though the lefty has tools that are quite workable into translating into a strong college point guard. Expect the top schools to come calling, if they haven’t already. www.nbadraft.net/les-schwab-invitational-recapSame article said Chris Lykes is well under his listed 5'8" and had trouble finishing inside against top competition - thought that was interesting.

Programs involved: Virginia, Maryland, Notre Dame, Villanova and Arizona A lefty combo guard that doesn’t have much of a defined position on the floor, Hubb isn’t going to wow you with rim-rattling dunks but he is going to win a lot of games, just as he did on Saturday. Hubb is entering his all-important senior summer with a recruitment that is trending up. He made shots from each level on the floor, facilitated for his team and made the appropriate pass when warranted. Look for a commitment in the fall, though he does have plans in place for publishing a more condensed list by mid-April. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/metro-challenge-60-hubb-shines-among-crowded-talented-field

Arguably the top guard in the area in his class, Prentiss Hubb showed why he has the chance to be special. Hubb can play on and off the ball and is gifted scorer who is continuing to get more athletic. Also Hubb showed a good feel for the game, and has improved as a jump shooter to go with his ability to get to the rim. Really surprised. It was Nova-MD for the longest time.

I'm sick and tired of brey, pitino, and others coming onto our home turf and taking our players. I know ewing is likely too late to gain traction with 2018 DMV studs, but I hope that 2019 and beyond, we can keep our local prospects.
