I do. I can't imagine us going too long in a game without either our best scoring options in the game (DSR, Peak) or our best ball handling options (DSR, Tre). If you want to propose it as a look down the road two years from now, that's a different story, but I'd hope our PG situation would be a lot better off by then. I don't think the idea of the original post was to propose a legitimate rotational lineup. I read it as more of a "hey, look at the versatile players we have, wouldn't it be fun to play this lineup?" So taking it a face value, I don't think it's totally absurd. Clearly if there ever comes a point where we don't have at least one of DSR/Tre/LJ on the floor with all those forwards (and 3 freshmen) then something went catastrophically wrong. You get me!

Reading comprehension is surprisingly low around these parts

I think that line up would likely have a lot of trouble scoring. They'd need to be running the offense crisply, because there's not a lot of creators on the floor, except Isaac. Ummm. Post up someone who isn't 6'9" That's great in theory, but most of that lineup doesn't/probably doesn't have a great post up game. White has a pretty nice one... and after that... given how college refs call the game and how they let smaller players get away with murder against taller guys, I think you'd be surprised how ineffective the post up games could be. Although I'd hope we'd kill them on the offensive boards. The defense would be pretty great, though, provided everyone knows how to use their height.

I hear you, but if there is a 6'8" player who can't post up a 6'3" player, then he shouldn't be on scholarship at Georgetown

Not to mention that your lineup has 3 freshmen - most freshmen have very ragged post-up games - and 2 sophs.

I think you are selling the guys short. I bet they can establish position on the low block, get superior position on a vastly undersized defender and make a bunny.

I think if nothing else this lineup would be a very good training exercise in breaking a press with passing and at its best would give a completely different look that could rest our guards for a minute and confuse other teams who couldn't hope to match what will be truly exceptional size next year.

The biggest problem with the line up is who throws the entry pass while all 5 guys are posting up...

The biggest problem with the line up is who throws the entry pass while all 5 guys are posting up... Paul White, that's easy. Probably from the high post unless we have two of the guys that can play the 5 (Govan, Hayes, Agau).

Paul White inbounds to Copeland who immediately puts the ball back in White's hands. White either dribbles or if double guarded passes back to Copeland or if he is covered to Derrickson at half court. If the defense continues to pressure then a pass to Hayes or Govan at the Top of the Key gets the ball near scoring position. If the defense collapses then the ball goes back into White's hands and he passes to either Copeland or Derrickson for a corner 3 or to Govan at the high post or Hayes in the low post, whoever has the biggest height differential.

Of course if we were playing Duke, their guards would just head butt our tall players elbows and in 2 minutes everyone on our team over 6'8" would pick up a flagrant 1 or 2.
