6'10" C out of TX, apparently impressed yesterday, according to ESPN writeup:
"Tishishumpa has offers from Georgetown, Arizona State, SMU, Middle Tennessee State among others. He is a strong and physical true center who does a great job of moving the offensive player off his sweet spot in the low post. Tishishumpa does a great job holding his ground and contesting shots without fouling. He also is a very good shot-blocker (mostly on the ball) in addition to being a strong area rebounder. Offensively he attacks the glass and power-dunks drop-off passes created by dribble penetration."

Jeff Borzello @jeffborzello
Jethro Tshishumpa is an absolute man in the paint. Blocking shots, hitting the glass. Too big for most to handle.

From Rivals' Eric Bossi (seems to be a question about whether he's class of 2016 or 2017): Before July's three live periods, the rankings for the class of 2017 will be updated and expanded. Six-foot-10 center Jethro Tshisumpa is an absolute lock to make an appearance. Earlier in the spring, he impressed as a power scorer around the rim and he did some of that Wednesday. Where he really made his mark was on the defensive end. He moved opponents away from the rim and was an intimidator while protecting the rim. His four blocks might as well have been 10 because they all came in impressive fashion and at the rate he was swatting and altering shots, opponents eventually declined to go to the rim. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1776012

He was originally 16 but they reclassed to allow him to develop more. So in a way he could be either or. I'm sure some of his offers are for a 2017 kid if that makes sense

If his game is anywhere near as awesome as his name, sign him up!
Edit: Bam Adebayo is a pretty sweet handle too.

I've always wondered how much hype was in pops quote. Moses was a lot more athletic and quick twitch before the injury. He was never the same after. Oldhoyasfan had a good analysis of the problems Moses had post injury with his knees.

It’s rare that a player’s game becomes defined so singularly as that of Jethro Tshisumpa. The 6-9, 255-pound center — and native of the Congo — proved to be by far the best shotblocker at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. Jethro Tshisumpa claimed more benefit from camp than nearly any other player. Regarded as a lower major conference prospect prior to the event, he emerged from Charlottesville as an established defensive force and someone who will draw extensive looks from college coaches next month. Already, Tshisumpa is receiving interest from Arizona State, SMU and others, and that number will grow during the next several weeks. For perspective, consider that he averaged 2.6 blocks per game to lead all players at camp; No. 2 finished with just 1.9 swats per outing. For even more perspective, consider that Tshisumpa’s camp peers included such luminaries as DeAndre Ayton, Marques Bolden, Thon Maker and Mohamed Bamba. For him to post such vastly superior numbers illustrates the immense impact he made during the four days of action www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1557397-nbpa-top-100-jethro-tshisumpa

Imagine what our defense could be in the next couple years with this kind of rim protector

Not to mention, he's got the AI step-over move down. Check around the :39 mark.
