Congratulations, LJ! Should be a great experience for him both on and off of the court. Playing with and against different players and being coached by different coaches can only improve his game. Love it.

was going to say - that roster has 16 names and the official will be 12... so one more round. based on what we have been hearing, LJ sounds certain to make the final cut, but let's not get ahead of ourselves!

I believe the team started with 21. Cut was to 16. (Peak still in). Next cut will be final one, next week, to 12. Based on reports from the camp in CO Springs where trials are taking place, LJ has a great shot to make the team.
Even this early competition and coaching at Trials has to be a big benefit to him, with a week still to go. If he makes the team and gets serious minutes during the international U19 comp in Greece even better. Sean Miller, Ed Cooley and one other D1 coach are teaching the team. Great shot for LJ. USA!!

I noticed the same thing. What great coaches to be surrounded by this summer in Miller and Cooley. Can only help in a big way.

A 3.5? Yes...ha Gtown recruited him for a while, he's a super athlete.. Sometimes he plays the 3 and 4. Sometimes he plays a little 5 and 2. When they use him as a 6th man, he plays the 1... The mods promised there would be no math . . .

So 6'3" Also, are NBA scouts at USA Basketball sessions? Mike Jordan was 6'4 then, haha. You play with shoes so 6'5ish with shoes is good height for SG especially with that Wingspan. Regarding scouts, Yes they are.

Not quite Jason Clark's go-go gadget arms (6'1.25 w/o shoes and a 6'8 wingspan), but a 6.5 inch difference b/w his height w/o shoes and his wingspan--Peak's got some long arms.

Great news and congratulations to LJ. Does anyone know if the games in Greece will be available via TV or ESPN.com, or somewhere?

BTW, for more info go here: www.usab.com/news-events/news/2015/06/usa-mens-u19-team-named.aspxExcerpt“Obviously it was a hard fight to make this team because of the talent. The thing that we like a lot is the fact that we have eight players of the 12 that have competed and won a gold medal, several have won multiple gold medals. We have a lot of versatility in our lineup, we have players that can play more than one position and I think playing pressure basketball like we want to play defensively and offensively, that we have the depth, athleticism and quickness, and also some shooting that will really allow us to play a style that we can be successful at,” added Sean Miller.
