I really hope Peak makes the team. Getting the international games against solid competition will certainly do more for Peak's abilities than playing in Kenner (though I hope he gets to do that too), and it can only help him develop his skills for this season. If he's impressing people, one would think he's got a pretty good shot at making the team. Let's hope.

You may not have been viewing many of the game threads during the season nor some of the immediate post season commentaries. Plenty of people had been dismissive of Peak in general. I never follow the game threads in real time because I usually have to DVR the games and watch later that night, though it's mostly because I can't stand the irrational hatred that permeates the posts (even when we're winning). I swear, if this board existed in the 1980's and early 1990's, the game threads would be replete with posts calling for Ewing to be benched, JT2 to be fired, claims that Othella will never be an NBA player, and requests that Eric Myles be in the starting lineup.

Imagine the posts about a player like Freddie Brown. My guess is that he would have been excoriated on the board!

Hopefully he'll be able to stay in Europe until the team goes to Italy, although the flight is a great bonding time.
