I hope staff is "all in" on this kid. Him, trey, and foster over the next 3 years instantly resolves any concerns in the backcourt if you ask me. I'm right there with you Beantown.. The program desperately needs a shooter in the back-court to help replace losing DSR next season..

Had nice things to say about Georgetown all weekend and a couple really nice games as well... Hoyas legit contenders here?? I'd say so.... also mentioned he plans to visit again in the next couple weeks

Two visits 3 weeks apart. That can't possibly be a bad thing.

I know B&G said not to get ahead of ourselves and this may possibly take awhile, but I'm hoping awhile ends Sunday with a verbal!

I know there's some discussion that he's going to wait a while, but have to hope that we can wrap this one up soon. The longer it goes the worse for us I think. He's playing at a high enough level that the very biggest names may come hard after him soon.
He is exactly the player we need in 2016 too, the kind of all around scorer who can make an offense work. Precisely what we'll need post-DSR (and possibly post-Copeland/Peak). Jones, a point guard and an athletic big guy should be the priority list, in that order.

Agree that it would be ideal to wrap this up soon. He is the best and most realistic replacement for DSR. Two visits in three weeks is promising...

I know there are several '16 kids interested in the HOYAS. I also know that we like Jones a lot. I would love it if he popped now and I know the staff would be very happy... but have no idea whether he will or not. .I still think it's early. What I will say is that as soon as a lot of the top prospects get a look at the current Hoya team in action, think they will want Georgetown as a landing spot.

The new indoor facility will do absolute wonders for recruiting.
I never bought much into the idea that facilities meant that much until I got into coaching and saw it firsthand. I visited a Big 10 school on an unofficial with some of my players last week and one had an ACC school firmly at the top of his list. One look at their locker room and he was ready to commit on the spot. I had to calm him down but I can't lie, I understood where he was coming from.
It's long overdue but will put this program on another level. Can't wait.

Yeah,I figure the facilities should help with the 16 recruits but it also might be the case that the facility actually being done and the recruits being able to walk into it will make a huge impression on recruits.

Agree it would be great to get a verbal from him. But I hope folks aren't getting their hopes up as the summer is just getting started.

The Hoyas recently have come on strong and made a strong impression. ”They’ve done a great job, Coach (Kevin) Broadus and Coach Thompson, the main two coaches I talk to,” Jones said. “They got me on campus once. I like the system, it’s also a great fit with the players they have leaving and who’s there already.” Indiana also has reached out and picked up its interest. ”I’ll get on a visit by the end of the summer to Indiana,” Jones said. “I’ve talked to Coach (Chuck) Martin and Coach Crean a couple times. They talked to me about their system, how they make guys better, who they have coming in and who they’re projecting to leave. ”I know Thomas (Bryant) and Rob Johnson real well. (Johnson) told me more like how their skill development is, how they push players to get better.” www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1557790-nbpa-top-100-curtis-jones
