Will take place May 28-30 at the U of North Florida in Jacksonville (always bad for the distance runners). Ten women have qualified to be in the top 48 in each event (by time). The roster given with the placing in the top 48 and their seed time is as follows:
800m 9. Sabrina Southerland 2:04.44 13. Heather Martin 2:05.40 17. Piper Donaghu 2:05.53 24. Emma Keenan 2:06.18 47. Becca Deloache 2:07.96
1500m 3. Katrina Coogan 4:13.13
5000m 23. Sarah Cotton 16:14.71 25. Haley Pierce 16:16.16 34. Maddy Chambers 16:22.01
10000m 30. Maddy Perez 34:39.71
The roster (13) for the men:
800m 16. Joe White 1:47.57 17. Billy Ledder 1:47.62
1500m 8. Cole Williams 3:42.05 19. Amos Bartelsmeyer 3:43.82 27. Ahmed Bile 3:44.59
3000mSC 6. Darren Fahy 8:42.51 8. Ryan Gil 8:43.35 24. Matt Howard 8:52.83 44. Scott Carpenter 8:58.53
5000m 27. Collin Leibold 14:04.40 28. John Murray 14:04/71 30. Stephen Kersh 14:06.31
10000m 8. Jonathan Green 29:06.52
This is the most runners going to the Regional that I remember - 23 Hoyas. Many have a good chance of moving on.

The men have as many or more entries in the middle distance/distance category than any other team except Oregon. The women trail only Oregon, Colorado, and Arkansas.

Over in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Rachel Schneider won the 1 500m in the IAAF challenge meet in a time of 4:08.46, which I think is a PR for Rachel (appropriate getting a PR in PR).

All three of the men qualified and are going on to the next round. How they qualified varied. Ahmed took no prisioners and won his heat (2)(almost as fast as heat 3), Amos qualified on time in that fast 2nd heat and he was the first time qualifier, while Cole got in the slow heat and was the second auto qualifier for that heat (by 0.02 s), so he should be the most rested for the next round.

Incidentally, heat two in which Ahmed and Amos qualified had nine runners moving on that that heat. The spread from 1st to 9th was 0.46 s, so it must have been a mad rush at the finish line. All four time qualifiers came from this heat!
