What kind of game does this kid play? Anyone have a scouting report? ESPN Analyst Updated 01/28/2015
Strengths: Jones is a scoring guard with along and wiry build. He can get buckets at all three levels - making shots in bunches from the three-point line, making tough pull-ups, and then being smooth to the rim, especially in the open floor. Jones has enough of a handle to slide over to the point in spurts, and could gradually become more of a lead guard down the road, but he's wired to score the ball. Physically, Jones is a good athlete with long arms that he can use to his advantage on the defensive end.
Weaknesses: He lacks physical strength right now and tends to get bounced around a little bit when trying to drive through a crowded lane. Balance can also be an issue for him with his shot-selection, he'll force some low percentage looks and can start to spray the ball when his feet aren't set and his legs aren't under him.
Bottom Line: Jones is a long and relatively athletic scoring guard who has an offensive repertoire that translates to the next level because of the many ways in which he can gets his points.

Sounds like a quality guard. Someone JT3 could develop and has some length.

We may have a chance here, but who knows. Solid analysis.

We may have a chance here, but who knows. Solid analysis. To paraphrase Harry Doyle, "They don't call him the best analyst for nothing!"

For an encore, he went off for 30 points en route to team MVP honors as Team Inspiration fell to Team Bravery, 139-132, in the Mary Kline Classic Underclassmen Game at West Orange High School. The event raised $43,000 for cancer research as of Saturday night.
