Ugh I hate this new NCAA rule that only lets 2 players per team no matter what.

What's david allen doing this summer? Probably at a solid internship. I'd guess he shows up later in the month but an extra three weeks in the summer session probably doesn't affect his graduation status or his playing time. The staff has struggled to do anything with Allen or Riyan Williams and never developed them for spot duty as they sucessfully did with John Caprio. For a 23.2 ppg scorer at a legitimate TX high school program, he should have been able to contribute more than he has.

For a 23.2 ppg scorer at a legitimate TX high school program, he should have been able to contribute more than he has. I think it's questionable how much Caprio truly contributed. The only reason he got solid minutes as a senior was because we literally had nobody else to play guard and our depth was extremely limited. He also had the awful lane violation foul against Marquette that arguably cost us that game and the NCAA tournament in 2014. I would not call that a successful experiment. In contrast, I think the team last year and this year had/will have enough depth that there is really no scenario under which Allen would play. Even if there was a guard injury, I think guys like Kaleb Johnson would pick up the minutes. Hey, if Allen is talented enough to play real minutes, I am fine with that, but I haven't seen anything indicating he can, and I doubt the coaching staff is keeping him secretly stashed away if he could help.

1st "meaningful" pt for Agau in a long time today, where meaningful means observable basically. There have been numerous rumors about his performance in practice, hopefully those who can be in McD today get a taste of how that translates. Otherwise full slate, hopefully PW'S ankle bounced back
