Gotta think maybe his parents got season tickets maybe. Keldon has an open invitation to attend any game and as long as Georgetown is notified prior, he gets in free and any two people with him get tickets as well.

Well that would seem to be a significant advantage. Any idea if parents of current players are allotted free tickets? Interesting loophole if not...

I don't know the answer to this question (and it's a good one) but I would hope that the immediate family (within reason) would get free tickets to see their child/brother/sister play.

Don't know if it was reported earlier but he broke the ankle, it wasn't a sprain, and it might be mid January or later before he plays again... Rough luck for Kelson. Hope he rehabs strong and gets back as soon as possible.

I don't know the answer to this question (and it's a good one) but I would hope that the immediate family (within reason) would get free tickets to see their child/brother/sister play. Each member of the team gets 4 tickets to home games for friends and family to be picked up at Will Call (per NCAA rules). Before every game one of team managers circulates a ticket list form to the players for them to list their guest. If the players need more tickets they can ask a teammate who might not be using all his tickets to add his guest names. For example if Tre Campbell (local kid) needs more tickets for a game, he can ask any of his teammates like Peak, Copeland, Mourning, White or Agau (non local kids) for some their tickets if they aren't using them. Keldon or any other recruit gets a ticket for themselves and 2 more for his parents/guardians that he can pickup at Will Call provided he has contacted the coaching staff ahead time. The recruits sign a documentation at Will Call that goes directly to Georgetown's compliance department and is made available to the NCAA if need be. So technically Kaleb doesn't have to use his tickets for Keldon and his parents and the Johnson's get access to up 7 tickets per home game.

OBviously the injury is bad and never would have wished for it, but since it happened, this could be good for us, inasmuch as it keeps Keldon a little under the radar for the schools who have shown early interest.

^ this. Never wish injury on anyone, but if there selfishly is a silver lining....
Speedy recovery to the young man. Come back stronger than ever (along with a Hoya verbal of course!)

He's an '18. Going to need a marathon length injury to keep him under the radar. Like ultra marathon.

"Under the radar?" That is a pipe dream. Rivals already has him ranked #14 in the country for the class of 2018. And he broke the VA Freshman scoring record that was set in 1952... surpassing such VA notables as Alonzo Mourning, Allen Iverson, Dell Curry, Grant Hill, JJ Redick, JR Reid, Ralph Sampson and Jimmy Walker, just to name a few. Moreover, Rivals reports the following excerpt: NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Texas, Georgetown, Penn State, Cincinnati, East Carolina and Old Dominion, have all offered, and North Carolina, Florida and Louisville, have shown interest. Rivals.com came out with its initial top 25 in the class of 2018 on Tuesday, and Johnson checked in at No. 14 overall in the country. - See more at: basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1803694#sthash.tGc58RF0.dpuf

Yeah. Keldon is also #9 on ESPN's list so it would take an erosion of skills or other teams believing that he's a lock for some school that's located in DC. If the latter happens you'll see that lofty ranking fall into the 20s.......

The only thing the injury does is let him spend a lot of time around the program hopefully building relationships with the Coaches and players. It also gives him a lot of time and access to the program and school.
Even injured he is still getting recruited at a high level and nobody has backed off obviously. Going to have to beat the big boys on this one he will have his pick..

I agree but don't forget players like Paul White and Marcus Derrickson were also at one point early on in HS considered top 10-15 players. You just never know, there is always going to be constant change.

Keldon's team lost to Bethel HS out of Hampton VA.(AI's old HS) Without Keldon they were only able to score 44 pts. I hope they play in a tourney on the Peninsula next year. It would be nice to be able to check out a "future" Hoya in person..........

I'm happy when we see Kaleb bringing up the ball, a lot of other schools may be telling Keldon he will be their scoring guard but he has/will see from his brother's years at Georgetown that a guard is asked to take all responsibilities in JT3's offense.
