Sat next to his family at the Radford game. Great parents, who were rooting like hell for Kaleb throughout the whole game. It would be an honor to have him representing in a Hoya uniform. It would've been nice if Keldon had committed to the Hoyas after the loss, the same exact way Kaleb did last season, when the Hoyas lost to Xavier at home.

I've always thought the brother thing can be as big a negative as it is a positive. As many times as some brothers are tight and want to do it together, some brothers will want to go to different schools and chart their own courses regardless of the older brother's experience. Who knows in this case...?
But you can't deny that having Kaleb playing at Georgetown will give the parents and Keldon first-hand exposure to Georgetown, coaching, academics, culture, etc. If Kaleb has a great experience, it can only help our chances with Keldon.
Kaleb is starting to look like a pretty goll darned important recruit for a couple reasons...

At the very least you know he'll be watching more games than a normal recruit and paying more attention in general. Alot of the negative recruiting "they play slow" bs won't work on him as he'll be able to see it for himself. That's really all you can ask for. Doesn't guarantee that he'll want to come, but I'd sure rather have that connection than not!

If Keldon is looking for a family atmosphere you've got JTIII, Riyan, Trey, and PE Jr. living proof of second generation player/coaches. Arguably these 4 are sons of the 4 most important people in Hoya hoops history. Jaren Jackson, Jr., I'm looking at you too...

He didn't play, of course, but without him, there's no Big East Conference and he fought for the support to build the basketball budget in the 1970's when austerity was the watchword.

If Keldon plays as hard as his brother, I'd love to have him. For now, I'm just psyched that we got the big brother.

I think the big thing with Keldon is his family. No handlers. The limited access that Georgetown gives handlers isn't going to hurt us here. It'll be a fair fight.
Same thing obviously with Jaren Jr. We're doing a better job of targeting the right recruits.

DFW is right on the money here. While Dave Gavitt gets all of the national recognition for the founding of the Big East, Frank Rienzo worked shoulder to shoulder with him to make it happen.

Excellent reminder about Frank's critical, quiet role in the creation of what became the best hoops conference in the country.

If all of the Plumlees can attend Duke, why can't all of the Johnsons attend Georgetown? We can hope, anyway.

Don't know if it was reported earlier but he broke the ankle, it wasn't a sprain, and it might be mid January or later before he plays again...
