From Rivals: Keldon Johnson: Another class of 2018 prospect, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard held his own at camp. He's got good size, is a good athlete and his shot looks good. Johnson can already create for himself off the dribble, which bodes well for his future. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1783695

If Kaleb stays here they will get 1 year of playing with each other so I think that would be the main appeal for Keldon.

www.phenomhoopreport.com/news_article/show/496465-virginia-top-80-standouts-top-shooting-guards The Virginia Top 80 brings together the 80 best players in the state, regardless of class, regardless of position. It allows the big name guys to jostle for position and ranking and it allows the over looked guys to go right at the highest ranked kids to find their place. This event was no different, however the common thread between all of them is they all competed. Every player touched the ball consistently, plays were made in the half court, and guys took pride in defense. Today I am going to cover the Shooting Guard position. Here are the guys who showed out during the day: Keldon Johnson 6’4 Freshman Park View HS – Team Loaded Johnson had a huge freshman year, that saw him break the 60 year old Virginia High School League freshman scoring record. On the year, Johnson scored 559 points averaging 26.8 per game and yet many people have year to hear about the young man. He comes from great stock, older brother Kaleb just committed to Georgetown, but his game is unique to himself. Keldon has poise in the half court, touch with deep range, and a scorers mentality at multiple levels. There is no doubt this one has a world of success ahead of him. Mark his name down, and watch him grow.

Does the brother thing help or hurt? The Plumlees all played at Duke. The Hansbroughs and Zellers all played at different schools.
As much as he might want to play with his bro, he may also want to chart his own course.
How many brother combos have we had come through Georgetown? John and Lonnie Duren. Is that it for the JT modern era?

Is that it for the JT modern era? Who knows? On the whole, it likely gets us a hearing and at least puts us on the radar and with a kid who is tracking to be a five star caliber recruit, that's something. We'll have a shiny new practice facility for Keldon to visit and hopefully Kaleb does well on the Hilltop. I like what I'm hearing of him so far in Kenner - sounds like a high ceiling player who should at least contribute as a defender and energy guy. Roughly 28 Paulus brothers attended Georgetown and played football, but that didn't help us with Greg Paulus. Whether we should be thankful for that is another question entirely.

That's a great question Ranch. I just realized that they didn't play on the same team last year. We can only hope that the brothers are close, the little brother doesn't become enamored with the blue bloods and that Kaleb has fun and success on the Hilltop. If GTown looks like a place where he can legitimately win big, we should have a great chance to land the kid............

It absolutely helps IMO doubtful he's even on the radar without Kaleb plus Its not typical for gtown to offer rising sophs... Some of these recruiting battles are already won before grown even gets in the game. Has nothing to do with his talent its just how grown operates see Jackson Jr
Him not playing for Carlisle was so he could develop. He played a level down, more opportunities for him to be the man there than fighting for shots/time on a pretty stacked Carlisle squad
