holy crap - dunn coming back. Great news for Providence and the BE. Gonna be a helluva conference again next year, especially if SJU can get some late signees that can play immediately.

The leak ruined their fundraising mojo. A "Big" announcement is planned for the Men's BB Banquet Saturday night, where the expectation was Dunn would announce his intentions and then everybody loses their collective **** and starts writing big checks.

BTW the Big East seems to be making a lot of positive moves this offseason. Looks like Marquette and St Johns are going to be very good in the near future. X looks like they will be a top half of the league team year in year out. Provi getting Dunn back, Creighton landing Foster and a Legit top 50 big in Patton. Butler? Nobodies talking about Butler, but they should be very good next year only lose a couple guys. Depaul has a talented roster, they could surprise some people same with Seton Hall fwiw
Things are looking up imho… Very pleased

I'm very pleased as well. IMO, just the Mullin hire alone meant the Big East had a great offseason. He clearly is looking like a game changer the way he's been able to recruit top assistants from teams that will likely be Top 5 next year (ISU, Kentucky). I'm not sure they'll get Diallo, but I'm expecting them to still be competitive next year and a force thereafter.
A powerful SJU is what the Big East has been craving for 25 years. If they achieve top status, MSG will start filling up, and the Big East tourney will be huge once again. Never underestimate having a top team in the media capital of the world (and not far from Bristol).

Now the BEAST just needs to win some NCAA games. Here is to hoping that the Hoyas help in that regard next year (and for years to come).

Dunn coming back is great news. There's a real chance Villanova, Georgetown, and Providence could be excellent next year, with a few other teams breaking the top 25 too. That would be awesome for the conference.

That would be awesome for the conference. I'm learning to never discount Butler and Xavier (but I haven't looked at their '15-'16 rosters). MU should be much better and mid-table. SJU should be re-energized. Creighton is getting help. DePaul seems in an upward trend. We'll see how SH comes out of its in-house mess. After this season's success, OOC sheduling should be a priority for all. JT3 is doing his part.

Butler loses Woods & Barlow but brings in Tyler Lewis (McD NC State) as new point. They will struggle with length but Dunham, Jones & Chrabascz are all back which is their core. Xavier loses Stainbrook but hopes (like Gtown) for a sophomore bump from a good recruiting class. Both should be very solid.

Much to my chagrin, Stainbrook was a helluva lot better than I thought he was.

It will be real interesting to follow this transfer, given the number of suitors for his little brother, Temple. Also worth note is that his good buddy, Sina, transferred to GW. Wonder if there would be interest in bringing him there. With DSR returning, along with Tre and LJ, there would be little in terms of adequate playing time that the Hoyas could offer, but the kid can shoot the 3.
