It's not the wrong strategy if they think NGW is significantly better than Gill and have reservations about Gill's ability to contribute. Let me say this....no one knows the strategy, what we do know is that the staff really likes Gill. The article stating that he was going to commit last night did not come from a reliable source. Moreover, the tweets stating that we are going to wait for NWG's visit is not a fact either. Its one of many possible scenarios. We all want Gill to become a Hoya, but let's let the process take care of itself...seems like we are trying to create news when there isn't any.

I thought that I read that in DFW's mission statement.

If you believe you have a shot at NWG, you 100% wait until you have a chance to make your bid.
If that's what's indeed happening, no problem with it whatsoever.

I just don't understand why they don't go for both. It's not like we have big time guards coming to the program next year

As of now, and according to the scholarship table, we only have one scholarship available next year. Also, if we brought in two sophomore transfers, we'd have 8(!) members of the class of 2018 on the roster next year.

Remember waiting for 5 star Nerlen Noels and when the shenanigans happened ended up having to scramble to pick up 3 star Bradley Hayes when nobody else was left.

The difference here is that both NWG and AG aren't eligible until '16-17. Even if we miss...we still have plenty of options on the recruiting front.

We have plenty of irons in the fire.

Based upon the news b&g just posted on GU being dropped from consideration by NWG. . .does this change the timeframe on a Gill decision?

Any noteworthy stuff here? t.co/VxffMdQLwG (24/7 article about trip to Neb.) Lots of transfers making choices this past week. With NWG & Collins seemingly headed to points west, is Gill the only option we're still in play for?

There is a strong possibility he ends up a hoya....just need to see where the chips fall. If he does end up a hoya, I see him playing an important role here.....so does the staff.

Well... sounds like he's not quite ready to decide.
