I suppose it's possible he comes here Fri/Sat and goes up to Rhode Island on Sat or Sun. You would probably want to get most of the visits in one geographic region done on one trip. He was scheduled to visit there this weekend before news broke he was coming here. Could be a change back to the original plan or jus old info being retweeted Either way the Provi guy is legit so not too sure what’s up

Yes, but Akoy Agau tweeted that Gill was on his official to Gtown.

Not sure why people are randomly discounting our chances for NWG and Williams based on nothing. It's about being realistic. Staff and players have little connection to Kenny Williams and NWG. Shaka has a much tighter relationship with Williams. These two are the top guys left at guard. Sure if they said yes to Georgetown we'd take them but percentages say that chance is small with so many suitors and no prior relationship. It's just like when people were positive we were going to land a super class with Trier, Bacon, Dozier, Rabb, Noah Derrickson. it's a nice dream but unlikely to happen. You say realistic I say pessimistic. Staff and Players have little connection to Kenny Williams?! You mean besides recruiting him and being a finalist for him the first time in his recruitment?! Yeah no relationship what so ever. We recruited NWG out of high school too. No clue where you get this idea we have no relationship with either of these players. It's especially a joke with regards to Williams. Obviously Shaka has a tighter relationship, but doesn't mean we have no shot. That also assumes Shaka is recruiting him to texas.

We are on each kid's short list of schools still in the running. We must have done something right to get that far. Doesn't mean we will land either kid, but at least we are in the game.

I would be curious to know Gill's FT% in high school? If he scored so many points I am sure he was at the line a lot. I don't have time to try to find it, but I know some high school leagues put that information online (I checked Govan the other day - he's 75%, which is really nice for a big man).

And Derrickson is a great free throw shooter. Something like 85%.

That is what I thought - but in any event, still promising.

The only concern I have about taking another transfer is roster balance. We'd have our original 5-man class, plus Akoy + potentially Anton or Nigel - making 7 kids in a single class. Granted, we all know that people could leave early or transfer, but it's at least something the staff should keep in mind.

No timeline. My guess is that we should know by mid-may. By all accounts visit went great....hopefully we'll be seeing him in blue and gray.
