Holding my breath that the news is true about DSR's return. How lucky is he to have parents who encouraged him to rtn for his senior season, instead of looking for the money. It's a win-win for everyone, and I wish him only the best.

I recommend reading each post as a sort of Turing test. Consider, if you had a reasonably intelligent bot reading each thread and programmed to randomly respond every so often using keywords of that thread, could it replicate said poster's history? This could be an elaborate GU CS Department experiment (possibly funded by the mods' hefty stipend I keep hearing about). Does that mean that someday soon we will not have to create our own posts- the bots will do it for us? That would free up a TON of time. At least until the bots got to lic, and self-destructed. I don't create most of my own now. My manic Hoya Hyde alter ego handles the heavy lifting for me.

I love this. And DSR chiming in welcoming him. That's what leaders do. And, if the snippet about JT3 contacting all 30 teams on behalf of DSR is true or close to true, we have a lot of which to be proud in terms of our staff and the work that they do with the guys on the team. Hoya Saxa.

Chances DSR gets 2k points?? Deep big east tourney run and ncaa run? Could it happen? It's not likely with the number of scoring options on next year's team (hopefully) but it isn't impossible. I wouldn't be shocked if we scored more points in general as a result of a slightly quicker pace and an upgrade in athleticism (mostly over the Joshua minutes). I am also hoping for more open looks for guys, especially DSR, as a result of having big guys that have games that extend out past 5 feet from the basket. It should help in spacing the floor and keeping defenses more honest and less able to focus on DSR.

Chances DSR gets 2k points?? Deep big east tourney run and ncaa run? Could it happen? As it stands, DSR would need 614 points next year to hit 2,000. Only 8 players in Georgetown history have done that in a year. Last year, DSR scored 580 points on the season (ranking 14th all-time in a season). But, as we know, that team was heavily dependent on DSR and Markel for offense. www.hoyabasketball.com/records/bb-season.htm

Color me thrilled. I was off the board for 24 hours and THIS happens. Love it. This creates an entirely different optimism about next season.
Good on you, DSR.

If we add another seasoned guard like Collins, Govan arrives ready to be a middle of the road Big East center, and Tre/Peak/White/Cope take moderate steps forward, this team could be darn darn good next year.
This is not even counting what Hayes, Akoy, Derrickson, Reggie, and Kaleb can provide.
Getting myself excited...

I would like to think that with this personnel the team should be more up tempo and score a lot more which would help him get to 2K. I'm not holding my breath on that tho.

Day 3 of no official word. A little worrying considering that the press release that he was entering the draft came out very soon after or at the same time news broke.

Probably ensuring there was no formal relationship established with an agent.

The longer this drags out the more likely it is that the original story will hold. Maybe some trashy agent comes out of the weeds waving a "contract" signed by [allegedly] DSR, that "agent's" first and only client. Meanwhile the agent scrambling for accreditation status. This scenario plays out only too frequently. When the contract is voided because the agent wasn't certified, he pulls the pin on the grenade and blows up everybody in the room by saying that the player has accepted "improper benefits" ($$$) over the last year. Of course that prevents the agent from ever being an agent but also prevents the player from returning to school.
Hope thats not the deal here.

I'm skeptical that's the case because I don't know that I've ever heard of such a thing. Any specific examples you can point to?
