Scout reporting he's returning to school via twitter. Very good news... The staff still needs to shore up the back-court with another guard.. Yes - and would this make Damion Lee more or less likely to consider us? How about a DSR/Lee starting backcourt, with all the young guys up front?

Amazing how a youngster's change of mind can induce euphoria in a bunch of grown men ( and women).

We may have dodged a bullet, there. Still need another guard. And the way things have been going for us in our quest for guards, we may want a guard and a spare.

Definitely dodged a bullet. With Peak and Campbell as the only guards you need a guy who can play either guard spot and the team desperately needs shooters to spread the floor. That sound like antone you know?
I'd spend the last scholarship on a capable fifth year guard just in case, but this pickup just got about ten times less urgent.

I think a fifth year guard is very unlikely, if DSR is back taking up 30+ combo guard minutes. Tre should get more time at the point and given the front court depth, Peak must play in the back court. Peak must improve his shot and finishing and if so will be dangerous.
A 2015 who may decommit due to a coaching change may work but the only potentially realistic fit is Kenny Williams, but he has not even asked for a release at this point.

Hoyas just got their own "One and Done", 5 Star guard for the 2015/16 season! Only he has the experience of a senior and three years in JT3's offense and defense. Plus he knows all his teammates already. Best "recruiting" news in ages. Welcome back D'Vauntes!!

Folks, we need another guard in addition to DSR. As a matter of fact, that's the position that we really need to be developing at. I think Hayes is going to be able o contribute next year, but, think about it, what a waste to have a "project" for two, three years. Our "projects", if we are going to have them, need to be guards.

Best decision he could have made. He can come back and earn his degree and there is no reason to leave early just to play overseas.

However, I don't blame him for testing the waters. Smart move for a young man who seems more than capable of making some tough decisions. I just hope he comes back with the mentality to take over more of these games. We need him to lead in every which way.

I'm very interested in hearing the story of this week. I'm sure some of it comes out at the basketball banquet this year or next year.

Is tweeting to make yourself sound like a Maury Povich guest a thing now? Anyway, very glad to hear about DSR's return! Keep the pedal to the metal on recruiting, because things are falling into place nicely!

Selfishly, I'm excited that I get to see DSR in the blue and gray for one more season (even though I'm gun shy without an official announcement from either the University or DSR himself) and that I'll get to see him climb even higher on the all-time lists. I'm also really happy that he'll be getting his degree before moving on to bigger and better things.
For him, I hope that both the decision to leave and the decision to return gave him perspective from both sides and that he's happy with his decision. Hopefully, he'll be rewarded with another great year of school and a hugely successful season on the court.

I mean that isn't even a real school, I've never heard of them.
