Is this article claiming Issac might be declaring for the NBA? If that somehow happens, this board will self destruct.

Is this article claiming Issac might be declaring for the NBA? If that somehow happens, this board will self destruct. This seems like some sort of estimate. Given that John Thompson III commented in the CBS article that Copeland had jumped into working hard this summer, I find it hard to believe he would declare. It would also be a colossal mistake because he stands to improve himself substantially this coming year and will almost definitely be better off a year from now. I think this is simply unsubstantiated CBS speculation. I am not concerned.

No one likes that guy." From the article

Vegas currently has us at 80-1 to win it all next year according to my hotel's sportsbook. Sounds about right...

John Thompson III waves farewell to three imposing seniors (Josh Smith, Jabril Trawick, Mikael Hopkins), and hands the team off to a group of sophomores (L.J. Peak, Isaac Copeland, Paul White, Tre Campbell) who collectively comprise an immense amount of potential just waiting to be unlocked. That's about the size of it.

Consensus appears to be, both among journalists and among viewers of the sport who post on /r/collegebasketball, that gtown is at least a top 25 team, in many cases a top 20 team, and in some cases a top 15 team next year. lets hope this holds into the season.

Disagree strongly. I hope that we're never ranked and we sneak up on people. No need to get lots of publicity as a ranked team.

There are a lot of reasons to get publicity as a ranked team. I never understood the "sneaking up" idea or the "we want to be underdogs" mentality. If you are a good team, you don't need to sneak up on anybody, you just play and beat them. That's what the top teams do every year. I want to be among them.
