Hopefully there is no truth to this. Obviously not the gospel, but most Mock Drafts don't have him anywhere on their boards; is that because they didn't anticipate him leaving or he wouldnt project as a 1st round pick anyway? Probably a little of both... www.nbadraft.net/2015mock_draftwww.cbssports.com/nba/draft/prospect-rankingswww.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2015/Where would he even slot in based on the guys who are on these lists? Outside of the obvious lottery picks, he would fall below both Dunn and Grant I'd think? Is he in the range with Wright, Rozier, Lavert, Tyus Jones, RJ Hunter, Booker? He's got to be a borderline 1st round pick at best, and there is a huge difference in 1st round guarantees versus 2nd round status. For his own good, I hope he's getting good advice... And least we know he's still workin to elevate his game, that has got to be good news either way. The most likely scenario is he is back, that muc better, but anything can happen between now and the 26th

What is wrong with you man, why can't you have a normal, informative discussion? I'm entitled to my opinion and if you disagree with it feel free to explain why, that's the whole point of this board. This weird/childish response every time I say something has got to stop. You're obsesseed and I don't even have a clue why. Normal, informative discussions don't begin snarkily with "Did you watch the OOC?". Watched the entire season. For me, it's a concern.

To pull a captain obvious, DSR leaving would be a major blow. I don't know what to think right now. Guess I'll just relax and see how it plays out.

Hoping its just an instance of him getting his name out there. No reason not to go through the process more then once unless you are one and done. Plus, I'm sure he will get valuable feedback.

He's got to be a borderline 1st round pick at best, and there is a huge difference in 1st round guarantees versus 2nd round status. For his own good, I hope he's getting good advice... nbadraft.net has a ranking by class year. DSR is the 32nd-ranked junior. On the draft express rankings? He's 61st out of all juniors. Needless to say, either ranking would put him nowhere near getting drafted, let alone as a first-round pick. www.nbadraft.net/ranking/ncaa/2016www.draftexpress.com/rankings/NCAA-Juniors/3/Unless there's something going on academically or unless he thinks his best ultimate path to the NBA is by playing in Europe (or the D league) next year, it wouldn't make any sense for him to go right now. Of course, there's no harm in putting one's name out there and getting true feedback from scouts (instead of these draft boards). Obviously, it wouldn't make much sense at this point for him to straight transfer. I'll raise a troubling possibility: is it possible he's graduating this year and, thus, could be immediately eligible as a transfer elsewhere?

That is the only reasonable course of action. Whatever happened to the Hoya spirit of old? The tried and true, battled-tested Hoya way of facing adversity? Panicking is NOT the only option. Perhaps some of you need a refresher course to re-instill the traditional Hoya way to deal with setbacks.... drink heavily!

It would be a surprise if DSR left - but maybe not as surprising as it seems on face value. He seems like a sharp kid - he likely knows he has almost no chance of getting drafted. He may, as others have said, think he has shown scouts all he has to show them in college. He might think that the best next step in his career is to play professionally somewhere - one more year of making some decent money (if he goes international), and focusing purely on basketball. Remember, he transferred to Oak Hill for his senior year of high school. Guys who go to schools like Oak Hill are kind of opting for a "professional basketball" track in terms of their career prep. So leaving one basketball situation as a junior for what he sees as a better basketball situation as a senior is something he has done before.

To be fair, drinking is part of my panic procedures but despondency works too.

I was looking for this quote because it was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that. I took this to mean he wasn't thinking about leaving, which was reassuring because I can understand why he would. Would be very bad if he left. Hopefully he's just looking for feedback and will be back.

I didn't mean to come off as snarky, it was a legitimate question not only because I thought LJ proved to be no worse than a senior Jabril in the dept of ballhandling, but also because there was a lot of roster/lineup experimentation going on at the time.......try not to be so miserable and let everything offend you, it's not healthy.

If DSR is only focused on professional basketball then there really is not much more he could do next season as a Hoya to change scout's opinions of him with regard to the NBA. It would be logical to go off to Europe to play fulltime and start the money earnings clock asap. I cannot see how this is an academic issue since finals have not happened yet for the spring semester.
