Apparently VCU will be allow to chest bump tOSU guards out top and not get called for a foul.

This would look worse if Texas wasn't hitting 28ft shots at the end.

Big 12 now 0-3, with Butler outlasting Texas.

Butler didn't even need their best player to beat this Texas team. Someone please explain to me why they were such an "upset" pick? Idiots. Everywhere.

Great, gutty win by Butler. Texas must have blocked 12 shots.
Let's go Xavier.

Nice start for the Big East. Terrible for the Big 12.
Hey, maybe Depaul could hire Barnes, he has to be available after this year's performance.

Any chance Jones is closer to full strength on Saturday to take down the Irish? Sucks they lost him or I would mark that as a win for them.

SMU is just barely hanging onto a 2pt. lead.

Wow tough call for SMU! Hate for that to end your season.

I think it was the right call though. Who knows if that ball would have rolled in off the rim without the goal tend. Probably wouldn't have but if the ball rolls on the rim there is maybe a 10% possibility depending on how soft the rim is.

I think the announcers said sprained knee. yeah they said that later but that could mean anything. Watching the video of the injury it looked like a hamstring sprain/tear. The severity of it would dictate how effective he would be. At the very least it's not a complete tear.

You can't bend the rules just to accommodate SMU guy.

I hadn't realized it until this post. Iowa State has only made it out of the first weekend once in Fred Hoiberg's five years in Ames, a Sweet Sixteen appearance last season. Clearly a failure of coaching. . . . In fairness though you have to mention that he was an 8 & 10 seed in his 1st 2 appearances and got wins both times. Last year he was a 3 seed and made it to the sweet 16 and lost to the national champs.. He's done a good job.. I was actually referring to ISU becoming the third school to lose in the first round as both a 2 seed and a 3 seed.
