DSR 1st team
LJ Peak, Isaac Copeland All Rookie I'd have switched Harrison and Pointer. Hell, I think Rysheed Jordan is better than Harrison. A little sad Josh couldnt get an honorable mention... Surprised, but happy for LJ to get onto the rookie team...

Seriously, they needed to go to a 7 man first team to make room for Arch? Does this mean we may be looking at co-POY (2 POY + 5 first teamers)?
Also, I feel like the Harrison criticism is pretty harsh around here just because he has struggled so mightily against the Hoyas. The guy did manage to score nearly 20 pts and 6 rebounds per game, with a better shooting percentage than DSR and the number 6 PER in the conference.

You probably have a point but, having watched a lot of St. John's, his stats don't tell the whole story. He's selectively engaged and makes a ton of boneheaded decisions that really hurt his team.

Regarding Josh: There ought to be a rule that if you decide as a coach you need to double team a player every time he touches the ball (and sometimes before he does) because that's the threat he poses, you are then obligated to vote him to a conference team.

Hopkins was a better sixth man than Hart.

I see that Butler's Alex Barlow won the Sportsmanship Award. I'm a little surprised. . .thought that Josh Hart would win that one as well.

Is sportsmanship best exemplified by flailing wildly on desperation 3 pointers despite no one within 2 feet of you?

Dunn and Arcidiacono co-players of the year. Pretty shocked by the latter.

Guess they figured they had to pick a Nova guy with its dominance this year.

Butler's Chris Holtmann should have been Mike Brey Coach of the Year and it shouldn't have been a close vote.

Chris Holtmann at Butler got seriously robbed. He went from interim coach with a team picked to finish 7th in an 10 team league to finishing tied for the 2nd best record and ranked #22 in the nation.

I have no idea how Arch ended up as co-player of the year. But I also don't get how Pointer ended up on only the Second team. I concur with everyone above, Holtmann was the CLEAR choice as coach of the year. At least they got Delgado right. It's also pretty tough to argue against Dunn.
