What was that about UMCP not being that good? Trimble killed Wisconsin.

Yikes. I thought Nova kicked our butt. Providence doesn't look like the 2nd best BE to me.

12-6 now guarantees a top 3 seed and Nova on the other side of the bracket.

Yes, that is not a misprint. The mighty Tarheels, who people said would run us off of the court, scored 46 points at home last night. How can that be?

Yeah, i will take lots of teams that cant shoot 3s. I've never seen us allow more open 3s than I have this season. Thankfully, not every team is great at them.

Good news is that there are a decent number of teams in the 9-12 seed range that are bad at shooting threes--for example, Temple only makes 30.4% of their threes (313th in the country). Of course, we could also end up playing someone like Stanford, who makes 39.9% of their threes, 16th best in the nation.

It seems we are still paying the debt for the HUGE basketball gods check Esherick cashed in order to draw 15 seed Hampton for the right to go to the Sweet Sixteen.

What's maddening about this team is that "good Gtown" can beat any team in the nation. The problem is we haven't seen "good Gtown" many times this year. If we get 20+ from DSR, 15+ from Ike, around 10 from Josh, Brilly and LJ. Around 10 TOs and our bench and Hop don't kill us. We need that Gtown to show up at least 4 times to win the tourney. I don't think UNC qualifies as one of the 4 that we need that Gtown in order to beat them.

The team is still growing after the starting line-up change but they have Avg'd over 75 a game since Cope joined the starting line up.. DSR, Cope, Jabril & Josh have combined to avg 53 ppg over that span, if Hop, Peak, White, Bowen & Campbell can score 25 ppg this team will be a tough out the rest of the year.. I like the way this team is trending..
