Reading the articles link it is obvious that this is an absolute must win game for them. They will have trouble at Marquette (is Carlino available?) and unless Nova decides to lay down since they will probably have the conference title clinched in a week I don't see St John's beating them either. Their only hope of getting a bid is if they beat us and win at least one BET game. As I keep saying, and everyone keeps knocking me for saying, this St. John's team is just repulsive and doesn't deserve an NCCA bid. Tons of talent but lack of cohesion, smarts, selflessness and of course horrible coaching (which probably is the cause for the aforementioned). But like a cornered animal they are very dangerous when their backs are up against the wall. My first thought is not to get in a running game with them but we saw in our win at home if you do and can pound them early they will quit. I expect them to hang tough longer tomorrow because they need this win so badly but I would love for us to slaughter them and put both the players and coach out of their misery. Carlino has been back in the lineup.

They have talented players and play a system that lets those guys play. The results are inconsistent, but still fairly good. You can't see the connection? The results aren't fairly good -- they keep missing the tournament/are a bubble team with 5-6 seed talent at least. Lavin lets them play -- or as we call it -- doesn't coach. That's why they underperform every year.

Pretty sure St John's did their Senior Day ceremony over the weekend at the Seton Hall game, which was at Carnesecca. Think the broadcast mentioned it. I seem to remember the same It looks like the Johnnies are doing two Senior Days. The johnnyjungle.com board indicates that pre game ceremonies honoring the seniors will begin at 11:35 am.

Your posts are all over all of the SJU message boards - and the ones about a team being deserving of an NCAA bid are of couse appropriately being ridiculed. Everyone is of course entited to their opinion (and this is, after all, a message board), but your over the top rants come off as a bit bizarre and of course do not reflect the views of most Georgetown fans. I despise SJU when we are playing them and at certain other appropriate times, but generally hope they turn the program around because that is good for Georgetown and the Big East.I again recognize that you are entitled to your opinion and to express it here, but I wish you would just stop.

Sorry I'm inciting the St. John's fans. But if I were them I'd be focusing on how this team, with this talent hasn't made the NCAA tournament in 4 years. And how a team that started 11-1 ( I believe) is faced with 3 must win games at the end of the season.

That's why they underperform every year. I don't see them as having 5-6 seed talent, but competitive talent nonetheless. I see SJU as a team that could become irrelevant with the wrong coach. With Lavin, they have been inconsistent, but far from horrible, despite some injuries, Lavin having illness, etc. I am not saying that Lavin is great by any means, but I certainly do not see him as incompetent or the worst SJU could do by any stretch of the imagination.

The key to this game is the first 10 minutes. They don't have the depth to hang with us, but if they jump out to a 10 point lead early, it's a different game. We've come out with more urgency in the last several games. Let's get it done.

So pumped and excited for this game! I really hope we come out and stomp these guys! We've dominated this team the 4 years their core has been together and I don't want them getting a last laugh! I want them to leave school knowing that they're Georgetown's bitch and always will be!

Not to nitpick but on the pregame report, you have Pointer as 6-9 lol. He is more like 6-5.

3 fouls in the first 30 seconds of the game, this looks to be a long 1st half.

LJ Peak missed a driving layup to the lane and then Hopper gets called for a push off which leads to the Hoyas being 1/7 from the field and down 12-7
