Just like that we have three more sub-4 minute milers. In addition Ahmed Bile, who just broke 4 two weeks ago, broke his PR too, so the Hoyas had four under 4 minutes in one race!!!
5. Amos Bartlesmeyer 3:58.45 8. Ahmed Bile 3:58.54 9. Ryan Manahan 3:58.57 10. Mike Lederhouse 3:59.54 28. Christian Alvarado 4:06.10 64.Matt Howard 4:13.44
Additionally, alumnus Andrew Springer was 19th in 4:02.56

Meanwhile over at the Millrose Games, Bumbi was running against a tough field. He finished 5th, but the first five were all within about a second.
1. Lopez Lomong 13:27.60 2. Ryan Hill 13:27.80 3. Suguru Osako 13:28.00 4. Donn Cabral 13:28.64 5. Andrew Bumbalough 13:28.64
The rest were five seconds and more behind.

Trautman's 4:12 is ridiculous. I am not sure which is the greater acomplishment, a 46 yr old running 4:12 or 4 guys from the same college team breaking 4 minutes in the same race. Both just unbelievable.

The Hoyas figure in on the father-son 4-minute milers. There have been only eight duos in history and the Hoyas have a part of two of those:
#7 AVE = 3:53.97 (Abdi = 3:49.40 and Ahmed = 3:58.54i) – #4 3:57.43 Abdi Bile (SOM) 07/21/84 3:59.04i Ahmed Bile (USA) 01/31/15 (Georgetown)
#8 AVE = 3:54.41 (John = 3:51.34 and John, Jr. = 3:57.47i) – #5 3:57.10 John Gregorek (USA) 05/30/81 (Georgetown) 3:57.47i John Gregorek, Jr. (USA) 02/14/15
