This. And is anyone but the SF crew going to be there? That is all the Hoyas need. Challenge Accepted.

Full house on a Wednesday night vs St. John's. You better believe the place will be rocking on Saturday for the Hoyas.

NIce win by Creighton over St. John's tonight. James Milliken hit some very big threes down the stretch, so the Jays will be looking for two straight wins on Saturday against the Hoyas.

I expect this game will be much closer than people think. Creighton gets some momentum by beating St. John's, we're banged up a bit and coming off a demoralizing home loss, and the home crowd will be frenzied on a weekend. Luckily, Creighton is significantly worse on defense than Marquette or Xavier so I'd like to see us exploit that (no stupid turnovers!) and, in particular, GET JOSH SMITH MORE INVOLVED early on. Oh, and less Hopkins.

After the last game I will never predict how this team will perform. Let's just say that they will score more than 59 points and Creighton will score less than 60.

Since only Nova has been dumb enough not to play zone against the Hoyas, it is going to be critical to get a scoring threat in the high post. This can never happen with Smith and Hopkins playing together. One interesting fact about this year's Hoyas is that the two starting posts lead the team in turnovers--not unique, but certinly not that common. Of course this happens when both try to put the ball on the floor, a skill neither possesses or when the entry pass is not perfect. Poor entry passes can usually be attribued to the passer, but when the target is not mobile or quick, like Smith, it makes the pass that much more difficult. I am becoming convinced that the addition of Smith will never be the positive I expected--though his play is vastly improved--because it is totally dependent upon other players being on their games. What I never expected was the inconsistency of DSR and Trawick this year, as well as the failure of Hopkins to improve at least a little on the offensive end. I admit to thinking he would take at least a little Simms-like step as aa senior. He certainly has on defense, but that is not what is hurting this team.

Xaviers high pressure Man to Man defense has been more effective against us than any Zone this year. They have us well scouted and have a good defensive game plan for us. Hedging ball screens hard, while covering back door cuts well. We really don't seem to be able to figure it out. We did better in the second half, but our turnovers in the first half especially killed us.
Gotta get this win @ Creighton.
8-1 at home 4-5 on the road is the minimum goal. We're at 4-1 and 2-2. Gotta get at least 2 more on the road and hold serve at home. This is the easiest road game left so it would benefit to get it. Then have to win one of Nova, Seton Hall, St. John's.
The schedule is front loaded in terms of games played. We have more one game weeks down the stretch. Xavier game was disappointing, but not a killer. Gotta win the next two games.
Creighton can be dangerous if they're hitting their 3s. Just D up and we'll be fine.

I missed the game live and when I was able to watch it later I just rushed through given the miserable outcome.

Now that they have that t$&d of a game out of their system, hopefully we will see a better commitment both on offense and defense from the entire team. There are no soft games on the BE schedule hand a ranking by the HOYAS only inspires the remaining 7 teams that are not ranked. DSR has to be more assertive in the beginning of the game. He has to be ready to take his shot from the opening toss if the shot presents itself. There have been several open shots, not forced shots, where he refused to shoot, passed the ball and went to a corner and stood there while Josh was making a move. If he gets off early , all the pressure is off the freshmen. They(freshmen) then can be a little looser in the shots they take. DSR is the upper classmen who has to lead the way in scoring. Does he have to lead in the amount scored every night? No, but he has to break the ice first most nights because the other guys that will be required to score are mostly freshmen, outside of Josh. He is way too passive at this point. Take the first good shot , not forced shot. I can live with him missing the first two or three but at least try to establish hisself and take the pressure off the frosh.

Oh, and less Hopkins. I completely agree. I think this game will mirror the Quette game. I don't think we're going to OT but I wouldn't be surprised. I see a close game with runs by both teams. Gtown's talent and depth should win out in the end. Ideally, I would like to see a double digit scoring day for DSR, Ike and LJ. With one of the 3 reaching 20+.........

When games are on the CBS network, they are typically shown online live at the time of the game. I'm not sure if CBS Sports does the same thing, but it might be an alternative viewing option. looks like the arkansas/florida game on cbs is the only one online at cbssports.com

Does CBSSN have a live stream of the game? At work and would like to have the game on in the background.
