Isaac Copeland, Georgetown, F, Fr.
Copeland averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Hoyas. The freshman tied for a game high in scoring with a career-best 17 points in a 78-58 win over Villanova and another 17 at Marquette on Saturday. Against the Wildcats, Copeland shot 5-for-6 from the field, 7-for-8 from the foul line.

Scored 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against Marquette on Saturday, he averaged 13.5 points in a 2-0 week.

Congratulations to Josh and Ike. The play made by Copeland in the second half of Marquette game when DSR lost the ball and it appeared the ball was going into the backcourt with the shot clock winding down when Ike picked the ball up just before it went over the line and drove into the lane and hit a 5 foot hook shot was Otto Porter like. Dickie made the comment that most freshmen would have gotten the ball and looked for someone else to come and get it, but this kid knew the situation with the time clock and acted appropriately.
People have said the HOYAS could not play any better than the Villanova game, and I agree defensively, but on offense the potential has still not been scratched. Can you imagine, Peak and White playing with the same intensity on offense as they did earlier in the year with the now imerging Copeland?
