I'm always a little skeptical of a school named "Quality Education"...but regardless..anyone know anything about this guy? 6-6 is huge for a PG.

I think it’s the same high school Aaron Bowen went to.

How about Myreon Jones since we are looking to uncover more guards for 18. Played for Georgia Stars Eybl, averaged over 15 points and his offer list doesn’t look that impressive. USA Today article says he’s at the top of his class academically and in line to be valedictorian. Considered one of the best players in the state, not sure why doesn’t seem to be hotly recruited.

Emmitt Williams is terrific... Rumor is he's a LSU lean but maybe Pat can get in there. Tons of talent at that event regardless 10-6 at the half for Williams.

Maybe Pat will get a closer look at Xavier Pinson... FWIW I don't believe this is the Montverde team Trae Broadnax plays for.

In the right situation he's got the athleticism and instincts to develop into a really productive player at a pretty high level. Pinson just needs time to add strength. This is about the longterm right?

Emmitt Williams is terrific... Rumor is he's a LSU lean but maybe Pat can get in there. Tons of talent at that event regardless 10-6 at the half for Williams. Unsigned five-star power forward Emmitt Williams unleashed fury on the rims at the HoopHall Classic Saturday night. The senior at Orland (Fla.) Oak Ridge finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds in a in over Roselle (N.J.) Catholic and five-star big man Nazreon Reid. "I think I played great today it was good to come up here and play in a great tournament like the HoopHall, I hope to be in it one day the Hall of Fame," said Williams. "It was great going against Naz. I've been knowing him since like the seventh grade so it was great to see how we've both developed our skills." Williams also confirmed that he's down to a final three of Florida, LSU and Oregon. "I'm down to Florida, LSU and Oregon," said Williams. "I don't know yet (if I will take official visits), right now I'm just going with the flow." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/hoophall-classic-five-star-emmitt-williams-talks-final-three

Pinson playing well at Simeon is a good sign imo & it's an especially good sign that he made his presence felt going up against Nemhard(Florida) & DeVoe(GTech) today.. Bird in the hand is always my recruiting theory..

Bird in the hand is always my recruiting theory.. Yeah, I agree. I think our recruiting over the last few years of the previous regime was really crippled by the "home run or panic" mode that we seemed to operate in. I like it better to spread some offers around and evaluate guys ahead of the curve, so that the 'fallback' options are generally solid ones. I think the current staff has been pretty good at this so far, and while it might not necessarily result in the "last to first" jump we'd all like to see, it is a much better way of building a solid foundation, so that you are ready when you hit the jackpot with that one great recruit somewhere down the line. Watching the clips, I'd be very intrigued with a Blair/Mac/Pinson backcourt. Lots of options there, and all three could become exciting college players. Do agree that Xavier looks like he needs to add strength, so I hope that offseason program is as good as the running Pat has been making the guys do.
