Foster was electrifying, scoring a game-high 27 points. He shot 12-for-19 from the floor (63%) and he poured in 16 numbers in the second half, when the Greyhounds pulled away.
As a team, Gilman was 19-for-35 from the field, and for 7-for-13 from behind the arc. Kai Locksley added 15 for coach Owen Daly, and Donald Duncan added 14.
"Tyler is such a key for us, he has such potential," said Daly of his young star. "He played extremely hard tonight, and so did everybody, and I think that kind of energy, playing together on the defensive end, and finishing possessions, that creates easy opportunities on offense."
Daly also credited seniors Ben Moore and Matt Egan for energizing the Hounds.
The soft-spoken Foster said, "We played well on defense, and we moves the ball on offense, and we executed. . My teammates hit me when I was open, and I just knocked them down."
GILMAN 73, NO. 11 ST. FRANCES 53 SF 20 8 10 21 -- 59 GIL 13 21 19 20 -- 73 St. Frances: Cobb 9, Lee 18, Goodwin 3, Ayeni 14, Richard 1, Rafus 4, Bracey 10. Gilman: Locksley 15, Winchester 6, Duncan 14, Foster 27, Moore 3, Egan 3, Madison 5.

There’s video up on Jaren jackson Jr on Rivals today. It’s short but he looks like another Combo Forward type 6’8 and pretty long. Hit a couple 3’s in the video and a midrange jumper. Looked like a solid prospect, but has to get a lot stronger for PF or get more perimeter skills if he’s going to be a 3...

HYATTSVILLE, Md. -- Explosive athlete Tyler Foster, a junior wing from Gilman, showed why he fit right in March 28 with his effort on both ends of the court at DeMatha Catholic High School (Hyattsville, Md.)
Although he did not score much due to a star-studded squad that was jacking up shots, we noticed many of the small attributes that we had hoped to see in his still-developing game.
In the winter we wanted to see more "feel" and instincts for the game from the sophomore who struggled to get in the flow of games at times for the Greyhounds, and this time out we saw better instincts, along with his already-good body control and a good handle.
Foster was steady all day being the quintessential team player. The 6-5 talent was a smooth, steady player who did not turn the ball over and showed his basketball IQ on each possession, mostly trying to find open teammates in the flow of this contest. On defensive, he got his long arms in the passing lane to disrupt things from time to time. He has a very long body type.
He ran the floor well, filling open lanes with effort. He looked to play the team game first. We hope to see more of Foster this spring/summer in a more team-like atmosphere where his skills may shine more. He had plenty of open looks but did not receive the ball as often as he should. His shot had good form but he did not get the results desired with the limited shots taken in the up and down game.
But he is an elite athlete with a very nice, growing frame, and a prospect that Maryland continues to monitor in City, along with the many other top underclassmen led by the likes of Friends School sophomore forward Myles Douglas, who already has a Terps early offer.

Elijah Clarance 6'3 PG from Sweden that plays at Goretti Anybody know what's the deal with this kid? Short clips but kid looks legit. Playing on 16U TTO and starting to get a little buzz Elijah Clarence, Team Takeover 16U, St. Maria Goretti (Md.) 2017 Guard: Clarence had an impressive debut season at Goretti after coming over from Sweden last year. “Basically the difference between American basketball and European basketball is just the tempo, athleticism and things like that,” Clarence said. He seems to have adapted well, as evidenced by interest from Davidson, Georgetown, Maryland, Miami and West Virginia. He looks to fit in well with Takeover, and showed good athleticism and vision. “I’m working on just having the ball on a string,” Clarence said of his AAU goals. “Taking care of the ball, having a deadly jump shot, consistency and being more efficient. www.dmvelite.com/news/dmv-notebook-eybl-hampton

Keve Aluma, Baltimore Elite 16U, Stephen Decatur (Md.) 2017 Center: I got my first good look at the 6-8 Aluma at the DMVelite Premier Run on March 29, and he impressed again in Hampton. Although Elite fell short against Seattle Rotary, Aluma showed excellent footwork, good athleticism and nice touch from 10 feet. For someone who only began playing recently, he's very sound fundamentally, and looks to be one of the most promising under the radar big men in the area Only been playing ball for a year and a half.. Seems to be developing rather quickly however www.dmvelite.com/news/dmv-notebook-eybl-hampton

Here are some of the top performers and stock boosters from Saturday’s action:
TOP PERFORMANCES Aguir Agau – 2017 – SG – Omaha Elite There’s a lot to like about Agau. A super athletic two-guard with a high skill set, Agau is difficult to check offensively. Agau threw home some vicious slams in transition and also scored off the dribble from all over the floor at a high rate on Saturday. A lengthy, athletic wing, Agau could continue to get a lot better in a hurry.

Bracket play began in the 2015 NY2LA Sports Spring Extravaganza on Saturday. As teams advanced further in their quest for a title, the Iowa Barnstormers and 2018 wing Joe Wieskamp won two games, showing why they’re a forced to be reckoned with in the 15U Division.
