6'9 Jr Nicholas Claxton from Greenville (Legacy Charter) SC,
Claxton was not nearly as dominant as he was when we saw him a month ago at the John Lucas 40/40 Combine. Part of the problem stemmed from the fact that he didn't get the ball inside and did not get a chance to handle the ball and play as much out on the perimeter. Remember, Claxton has the outside shot and other skills necessary to play away from the basket and this time around he impressed us with his quickness and athleticism in the paint and he did make some acrobatic, which resulted in several alley-oop dunks and a number of impressive rejects.
Claxton also has an impressive pedigree (his father is 7-feet tall and played for Hugh Durham at the University of Georgia back in the late 80's). He also has tremendous length, knows how to compete, has grown four inches in the last eight months, and is expected to top out at 6'10 or 6'11. In other words, we're talking about somebody who is only just beginning to scratch the surface right now and the sky's the limit, as he continues to gain strength and confidence. And to make the story even more interesting is the fact that most people in our business still have not caught onto the fact that Claxton is good enough right now to be ranked among the top 20 juniors nationally and he very likely will get my vote for the prestigious McDonald's All-American Team when the time comes a year-and-a-half from now.

Gilyard is starting to receive plenty of high major attention this fall. Illinois, Iowa, California, Iowa State, Georgetown, DePaul, and others have gotten involved as of late. “I believe Georgetown, California, Iowa State, and San Francisco are pretty close to offering me,” he said. “I’m not too sure, but they just like the way I play, how I play with a chip on my shoulder, how I play with heart.” - See more at: ny2lasports.com/article_one.aspx?articleid=3144#sthash.l1Gp1qL1.dpuf

As always with all highlights clips take them with a grain of salt but the kid does look very skilled.. Might be worth a look or two, it could open up a new recruiting avenue.. zagsblog.com/articles/christian-david-one-to-watch-in-new-england/“He’s a 6-foot-7 guard with skill, length, athleticism, and basketball IQ,” Popp said. “College coaches saw how the Golden State Warriors won the NBA championship. They did it with versatility, athleticism and skill. The game is evolving, and Christian is what every program wants and needs.”
An elite shooter, who stretches the floor and can guard multiple positions, David has been a hot commodity in the eyes of high-major Division I coaches. No interest from the staff right now but I'm hoping plus it can't hurt to build a solid relationship with Vermont Academy... He's starting to garner a lot of attention.. Would love to see the staff recruit in Canada & internationally more..

I don't see this mentioned anywhere but Creighton landed Ty-Shon Alexander yesterday. 4 star from North Carolina. Great win for the Big East, Crystal Ball had Va Tech as a huge favorite for him. I think some sites have him as one of the best in NC in 2017.

From Rivals: Class of 2017 Rivals150 forward Nicolas Claxton struggled badly from the field on Friday. But, the 6-foot-8 lefty is a work in progress and it's his length, quickness and long-term potential that we need to keep an eye on. Claxton listed offers from Arizona, Georgia (where his father Charles played), Wake Forest, Baylor, Maryland, Clemson, South Carolina, USC and Florida State to go with interest from N.C. State, Texas, Tennessee and Georgetown. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1825878

Ecstatic to have Tyler foster already, but it would be nice to round out the class with some combination of Blake Harris, Andre rafus, Kodye Pugh, and Jaren Jackson jr. All seem like realistic targets and are fantastic prospects.

Remy Martin: 6'0" 170 lbs PG out of Sierra Canyon School Chatsworth, Ca. Schools that Martin has been hearing from recently include Arizona, Arizona State, Georgetown, Texas and Virginia, with two of those programs recruiting him the hardest."Texas is coming hard and so is Georgetown. Those are the two I know for sure are very interested," Martin said, before breaking down what he likes about each program. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1616012-two-targeting-2017-pg-remy-martin?s=433

I can't really tell if he can set players up off the highlight tape but he is definitely quick. Man I hate when recruits give GTown the back hand compliments. Texas is "the perfect O", while GTown has "great academics".....We need to get the kid on campus so he can run with our troops........I bet if you told the kid that one of GTown and Texas is averaging 77pts/gm and the other is averaging 70pts/gm he would assume that its Texas with the higher avg.....and GTown has played the tougher schedule so far.......we have to get the facts to these kids...........
