Really like the looks of this big man on Paul VI, would take him as a college prospect over any other player on that team. Hope the staff is on him, wonder if he has a good relationship with Marcus Derrickson.

Hoyas not in his top 5, despite Manigault having taken an unofficial to Georgetown on 2/17/15. From his Twitter:
Thankful to say my top 5 are Pitt, Maryland, Wake Forest, Miami, Xavier... In no order!

King's seemed to have hit a ceiling these last couple years. Was once considered a top 5-10 player in his class, but ranking keeps going down. I'd still take him, but I don't think King's a difference maker in the Isaac Copeland or Otto Porter sense.

Obvious question...any relation? Consensus seems to be he is the Goat's nephew but I haven't looked to see if it is verified.

Obvious question...any relation? Yes Nephew Corey Manigault, Paul VI HS (Fairfax, VA)- Pitt knew about him before Williamson arrived, but he was offered by Williamson at UMass so this is a kid that both Williamson and Jamie Dixon like. Dixon himself called him a few days ago to check in on him. The 6'8" nephew of playground legend Earl "The Goat" Manigault, he tells me that he is projected to be 6'10" and that he already has an incredible 82" wingspan. So far he's all potential, and hasn't been a force yet in high school, but he's somebody that has the potential to explode. panthersprey.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

I like King personally ranking had dipped a bit but still a top 20 kid with loads of potential already producing. Never really payed much attention to Corey, guess I need to take another look… Thx HB

Any chance the coach of Paul VI harbors any resentment towards the Hoyas since his best player and Georgetown commit (Derrickson) transferred to Brewster? Always wondered if the Hoyas had a hand in that transfer and if coaches get Editeded about it.

Committed to Pitt. Seems like odd timing.

@evandaniels: Corey Manigault, a 2016 power forward, tells Scout he has verbally committed to Pittsburgh.

Committed to Pitt. Seems like odd timing. Not really. He had been considered a big Pitt lean for awhile and it just seemed like a matter of not if but when he would commit.

At least we didn't have time to get emotionally invested only to have our hopes dashed at a later date! Good luck to the young man.
