Would like to see Seton hall hold on for this one. The more good BE teams, the more chances for us to pick up good wins. But, yeah, Nova didn't play well at all and are only losing by 4.

At the half in Newark NJ, Seton Hall leads #6 Villanova, 31-27. 'Nova is shooting 28% from the field, and 10-22 from the foul line; 'Nova has 8 turnovers as well. Ten players with two fouls apiece (seven of them for The Hall). Foul shots will decide this one.

'Nova would be ahead if they were shooting fouls like they usually do will against us. Fixed it for you.

Big East officiating just sucks. It hurts our conference in the long run. It's 29-23 in this game and there have been 30 free throws. Just let the players play. Not to worry, the Big East refs will let Nova play their grab and hold defense when they play the rematch in Philly.

Anyone saying we missed on Josh Hart never speak again after what he pulled in the Seton Hall game. That was bush league and dangerous and he should have been kicked out and suspended.

Josh Hart will never be safe in Newark or Orange New Jersey again. The crowd is booing the crap out of him. He seriously could have severely injured Delgado with his Barkley impersonation.

During a loose ball he deliberately tripped Delgado of Seton Hall then as the ball went up floor and no refs around. Stomped on Delgado chest and hand. The refs looked at it and only assessed a flagrant foul because I don't think they saw the 2nd part because they made the decision to before the truck showed it to the live telecast.

Overtime in Newark, with 'Nova and The Hall tied at 58-58. Daniel Ochefu has 24 rebounds through 40 minutes, and may well break the conference record in OT. 'Nova is 19-33 from the foul line.

Elsewhere, Maryland defeated Minnesota 70-58. Gophers shot horribly (33.8% from the field, 13.6% from three point range).

Great win by Seton Hall. Certainly staking their claim as one of the best BE teams.

I was at the SHU v SJU game on Dec. 31. The Hall is real. That kid Delgado is going to be a force in the middle. Gibbs is an experienced and capable BE guard. Carrington contributes quality depth in the backcourt. And Sina can ball. He doesn't push his game on O too often, but when he does he can score..driving and Threes. In HS, he led NJ in 3 pt FG %. And they are doing all of this without 5 Star recruit Isaiah WHitehead, who is the real deal. He already has an NBA body. If he comes back soon from his stress fracture in his foot, they are going to be one very tough team.

That Nova-SHU game was...uhhhh...something. True story--I tried to run intervals on the treadmill between the TV timeouts of the first half, and I had to tap out with 5 minutes still left because I was a few steps short of an ultramarathon.
Highly entertaining in a certain kind of train-wrecky way. 48 fouls, 18 assists to 26 turnovers, Nova shot 31 percent (and 57 percent from the line in an OT game), SHU shot 35 percent, the teams combined for 7 for 39 from downtown, Josh Hart killed a guy, all in a nice tight 2 hours and 35 minutes.
