Cutting list to Final 7 on Twitter tonight at 7pm. I'll be shocked if the Hoyas make his Final 7! Not that it's a major loss...

We made his final 7! Along with SHU, NC State, Kentucky, Kansas, Butler and TCU. Pretty surprising after we dropped his buddy Ty Foster. This one could be interesting, not sure KU and Kentucky are real options for him. Shocked Syracuse isn't on the list.

Three Big East schools and only one from the chACCoke? Good news. Agree that UK and KU may be longshots for him, although their at least nominal interest is a sign that this kid is a player.
Besides UK perhaps, the rest seem to be at least respectable academic schools, which, if I recall correctly, is important to his mother. That is another good sign. I agree that this one could get interesting. I think he would be a great fit at GU.

Rafus or Antwan Walker?

Rafus. His interest from high majors shows his ceiling is super high. Walker might be more ready to play day one though. We would be fortunate to have either, both seem like potential studs.

If it was between those 2 the pick would be Rafus but he is a 6'8 standstill shooter who hits alot but still he doesnt have the alpha dog the times I've seen him. I dont think he is coming here and I kinda rather have Walker.

Let me add so there is no confusion Rafus is far more overall talented than Walker.

I'd prefer Walker... Rafus can stroke it but Walker does almost everything else better and hasn't been playing that long.... 3 should always have a kid like Walker on his roster.. tough and a self starter, pitbull type..

Let me add so there is no confusion Rafus is far more overall talented than Walker. Let me first say I'm shocked we made his final 7. I'm not sure it matters any way as NC St. is probably the current leaders for his services as they have been sending multiple coaches to most of his games so far this summer. Butler has also come on strong recently securing a definite visit according to the Baltimore native himself. If Kentucky ever offers I think he would be a lock for them as he has been actively campaigning for an offer from the Wildcats. Crookapari I mean Calipari has reportedly watched Rafus on several occasions in high school and this spring on the shoe circuit so they obviously have some level of interest. While Rafus is more skilled then Walker right now in both players development, I would take Walker over Rafus because Walker plays harder, with energy and effort pushing his potential. I've seen Rafus in person twice last year and have watched a ton of film on him this year and the problem is Rafus doesn't always play hard or anywhere near his potential. He is to much in love with the 3 ball and thus will float on the perimeter the entire game. He doesnt seem to like to play inside the arch and doesn't rebound the anywhere near well enough based on his 6'8" plus size and great length. He also doesn't play hard nearly enough for my taste. On the few occasions when he does attack the basket off the bounce he can be very dynamic and impactful. Unfortunately him attacking the basket doesn't happen enough. If he did play more of a down hill game and not just a perimeter/behind the arc game and played with energy and effort consistently, Rafus would easily be a top 50 player nationally. Unfortunately he rarely does. Walker on the other hand, while not as naturally talented as Rafus, plays very hard every time I've seen him play and much harder day by day then Rafus and is pushing his potential and his ceiling. No disrespect but Rafus game reminds me so much of another former Hoya and Baltimore representative in DaJuan Summers who also loved to float on the perimeter and shoot the 3ball too much but when Summers did rebound the ball and attacked the rim he was a highly impactful and hard to stop when he was a Hoya uniform.

And local with some dog in em' Have to keep local kids on the roster to keep our name in conversations. If he does well it opens all doors. Recruiting is that simple some time

If there is any question of a kid's motor, even a highly regarded one, I am hesitant to endorse him over a homegrown alternative like Walker. We have been burned too many times to count by a player's inconsistent effort on both or one end of the court. That said, since Rafus is a national recruit, I hope he ends up in the BE somewhere.

There's too much agreement on this page. I must be on the wrong site.

His game looks so 1 dimensional. I don't think he came inside the arc on offense more then once and that one time he did he got pushed around battling for an offensive rebound.
