They aren't machines, man. We've blown them out in the 2nd half. We led by 11 at the break. Remember, it's exam time. We've looked better than we have in recent years in these types of games.
That's true.

Looks like a very balanced attack today from the Hoyas. DSR is still 0 from the floor; bad shooting spell for him. Has hit all six of his FTs (they are free!). As soon as I wrote this, DSR proves me wrong and makes one. Good for him!

Looks as if Aaron will be our leading scorer as he has been going 8-9 from the field.

Really?? Re read. I was speaking of our performance until halftime. This is our same problem come tournament time. We need to show that we are able to force tempo when WE want to, to better uses our depth and athleticism. These are the types of games we need to be practicing this. The team we're playing now sucks, but when we play teams that are not as good as us, but much better than Radford, we allow them to hang around because we allow opponents to play at a comfortable tempo, their tempo.
Coach is working on a lot of different combinations today. I think that is his focus more than tempo. Also remember that we desperately need to cut down on turnovers. Trying to artificially spped up your game does not usually help you work on valuing the ball. I guess it's a matter of preference. With the talent and depth we have, I don't think we should be worrying about ball control. Yes they will have more possessions, but we will be creating easy baskets, and getting teams out of their comfort zone. I'm not advocating doing this for half the game or anything like that, but we need to sprinkle pressure in from time to time. The turnovers we have are mostly from Hop and Smith in the half court set. We're not turning it over when we run. Also we wouldn't do anything artificially. I just think we could be sooo much better ad more explosive if we force tempo a little bit. We have the horses to do it.

Defensively I'd like to see Hayes deny the entry pass into the post. He's done a good job of not fouling for the sake of fouling but he's gotta at least make their big work a little. Otherwise happy to see him get some minutes and not make any mistakes.

Nice to see Cameron get some buckets and great work by Tre Campbell. If Cameron can get going, he could come in and change a game like ol boy from Kansas did the other night.

Its just not going to happen.

We have had plenty of needless turnovers from our smalls and mids this year, and some of them when trying to run. I don't disagree that we should run when we can. I just think there are other things we are working on.

He has evolved a ton, just not toward the press. How many NBA teams press? Im sure there are statistical reasons why pressing could be non-advantageous.

We would have lost by 40 if we'd pressed FGCU, they wanted to push the tempo so I don't know that the universal answer is playing faster.
