In double overtime, VCU defeated Northern Iowa, 93-87. Looks like the Panthers' stay in the AP Top 25 will only last a week.
Texas coasted over Texas State in Austin, 59-27 (yes, that is a final; the Bobcats only scored nine points in the first half).
Notre Dame struggled early, then rolled over Florida State 83-63 in South Bend.

FSU's D looked like garbage but ND also looked decent.

Gonzaga defeats UCLA 87-74 in LA; they cooled off a little in the second half, and only shot 58.5% for the game from the field (47.4% from three point land).

Not specifically a "Game of Interest," but Army defeated Southern California 85-77 in overtime last night in Los Angeles. The Cadets may not be able to beat Navy on the football field, but a nice win over a Pac 12 team nonetheless.

Pat Haden will need to answer for giving that clown $7.2M for winning two games, made worse by the fact that they were bidding against themselves.

Butler falls to Tennessee, 67-55. Butler shot 33.3% for the game, and forced only seven turnovers. The Bulldogs had only one field goal, a three pointer, in the last eight minutes of the game.
Elsewhere, Villanova is finishing off Temple, with a 73-59 lead (3:49 to play). St. John's has a comfortable 59-37 lead over Fordham with 9:51 to play in the second half.

Syracuse wins, 71-69, on a Rakeem Christmas shot in the lane with 2.8 seconds left. Orange did all they could to give this game away against LaTech; some posters on syracusefan.com believe that Tech is an NCAA team this year, and that this is the best team that the Orange have played this season.
Can't wait to see how Syracuse fares against Villanova, "a team from an inferior conference," this coming week (next Saturday in Philadelphia, 1:00 pm, on Fox).

DePaul loses at home to Illinois State, 78-72.
EDIT: The Blue Demons led, 65-58, with 5:14 left in the game, and still led, 69-65, with 1:26 left. Illinois State took the lead on a four-point play (three-pointer and a foul) with just over a minute left, and sealed it at the foul line. Not a good loss at all, and certainly not the way to close out a game.

Probably about as well as they fared against St. John's.
