We NEED this kid. He likes GTown from what it seems and has all the talent in the world. Have no clue why he still isn't a 5 star. Those are 5 star highlights without a doubt. Staff, please offer him!!! Imagine getting him to go with Foster and one of Simms, Mading, or JJJr. Wow that's a top 10 class right there His transfer to Montverde Academy and the possibility of reclassifying up to the 2016 class ended up both being terrible decisions for Harris. He went to Montverde and couldn't get quality (barely any) minutes despite how obvious it was that he was the better player. I live in Florida and went to several Montverde games last year and Blake barely played. A friend of mine nephews play at Montverde. I couldn't figure out why. Montverde's starting guards last year were not D1 talent. Ben Simmons did 90% of the ball handling for them. I watch the team during warm ups and Blake Harris wouldn't miss and was way more athletic then the other starting guards. Meanwhile the starting guards were not D1 talents. It clearly affected his confidence because at the beginning of the season he was very aggressive and active with the few minutes Harris was getting. By the end of the season, he looked demoralized and very passive whenever he would get sometime. The only thing I could figure was that the starting guards were seniors and Harris was a transfer who was a sophomore/junior. I think that's why transferred back to school in Virginia as soon as Montverde's season was over, not even finishing the academic year there. IMO his lack of run at Montverde and the uncertainty of what recruiting class he was his in hurt his stock. That's why as soon as he transferred back to Carlisle in Virginia he announced he was back in the 2017 class. I'm expecting BIG things from him this year. He is a prospect who's stock has tremendous potential to blow up.

I agree with you, he has the potential to blow up and if we wait until then we might have missed the boat...

Can we get a confirmation either way on the scholarship offer? B&G?? Do we have a bat signal?

Its not to say we haven't extended an offer...my contacts just don't know. Seems like if he's 2017 class then you would want to hold off on it until we've exhausted our pursuit of 2016 point guard/combo guards (Seventh Woods, Daquan Bracey). I mean you really can't carry 4 point guards (Tre Campbell (and Campbell looks like a 4 year player so he'd still be here in 2016 and 2017), Blake Harris, Jagan Mosely, Daquan Bracey/Seventh Woods) anyway. There would be no PT at that position.

My guess is we'll wait until Seventh commits somewhere to offer him

Don't we always have multiple offers out to kids who play the same position? Curtis Jones, Seventh, Brown, etc? while we had those offers out, we also took Foster and Mosely? Isn't that how things are always done? And

Question - would we ever make this known to a kid, that we are definitely interested, but have to wait for a '16 recruit before we can determine how much PT could be available at your position to be fair to all involved?

Don't we always have multiple offers out to kids who play the same position? Curtis Jones, Seventh, Brown, etc? while we had those offers out, we also took Foster and Mosely? Isn't that how things are always done? And There was probably one spot open on a first come/first serve basis for a point guard/combo guard of a little lower ranking that we just wanted to lock up. Jagan Mosely jumped at that opportunity and took that spot while Daquan Bracey slept on that opportunity and lost it. Once that spot was filled by Jagan, any further offers for lower ranking guards was closed. Now we probably have one/two spots for the higher ranking combo/point guards in Jones/Seventh/Brown. Jones is a miss but if both Seventh and Brown accepted we would probably take them both. But probability wise we are probably lucky to land even one of the three. Once that is decided then a spot for a lower ranking combo/point or a combo/point for 17 opens up dependent on the outcome of Jones/Seventh/Brown.

If he is ready to commit now, take him. Really shouldn't be worrying about a '16 guard and their decision if it means affecting Harris. If he's the talent we think he is don't risk alienating him for a '16 who won't be choosing us.

I also think the staff would like to see what his game is like in a structured setting, as H4ever pointed out he didn't get much time @ Monteverde so it's been awhile since he's played consistent minutes..

Gotta believe that if Blake Harris doesn't have an offer yet, he will probably get one before the calendar year is over. I agree with Etomic in terms of maybe JT3 and staff want to see him in person playing in a structured competitive setting and are waiting for the high school season to begin. It definitely looks like the Harris can go and is a little underrated. It was documented last year before he transferred to Montverde that Blake was a Hoyas fan. I have a feeling that if he wants to be a Hoya, he won't drag out his recruitment like what some people believe Daquan Bracey did.

I don't think Bracey dragged out his recruitment at all. I think any delay came from our end.

I am pretty sure there are different types of "offers".
