Finally, it was a nice weekend run for 2017 point guard Blake Harris. Harris is an intriguing individual talent who hasn’t always played his best in structure and he’s had several high school transfers. However, he played very well at Pangos Camp and did a good job of setting up teammates, getting loose in transition and taking what the defense gave him rather than forcing things. It was pretty surprising to see him left out of both Cream of the Crop games because his play throughout the weekend should have earned him a spot. basketballrecruiting.n.rivals.com/news/pangos-aa-camp-ayton-stands-tall

Really hope this kid gets an offer now that Lykes is unavailable.

I love Blake Harris's potential and skill set but if you watch him play for any extended period, as much as he can be dynamic and exciting with the ball to watch, he can be just as frustrating and mind numbing because the crazy decisions and his wild and out of control play he can be make at times. He will give you 6 or 7 assists and 6 or 7 turnovers. Sometimes he likes to show flash and style over substance. That being said, a college coach will get a heck of player if they can get Harris to play smart and under control while also allowing him to be a playmaker.

With the Chris "I don't Lykes that he committed to Miami" sweepstakes over. I think it's time the staff offers Blake Harris if they are going to pursue a PG/Combo Guard in this class (which I'm not sold that they are, at least from the high school ranks) . I have posted many times in the past on how much I love his potential and upside while hating his Steph Curry wildness and turnover prone carelessness with the ball. His line tonight is a perfect example of his play on most nights. 16 points on 6/8 FG 4 assists and 6 turnovers. At least 3 of them were of the most mind numbing variety (SMH). With all that said, if you can coach him to play smarter and under control, he has all the tools physically to be a heck of a guard at the next level and would easily be the best PG/Combo potential wise that at this time we have a legitimate chance at at this time.
Now it's still very early in recruiting still if you take into account the multiple recruiting seasons (high school/prep, mid year transfers, end of the year undergraduate, JUCO, and 5th year free agents) so a lot will and can change in terms of recruits were on and roster needs. I tend to believe that we will be more of a player in the late signing period then the early signing period, which can be a huge plus if the Hoyas have the type of season we hope and believe this 2016-2017 team is capable of.

Wow. Not sure how to feel about that, but it never seemed like the staff was very interested.

He's talented but based on his past I wouldn't be shocked if he did not last a year out there..

Rumors are that Porter Jr.'s dad who was an assistant on Romar's staff will be on Conzo Martin's new staff at Mizzou bringing both His sons with him back to Mizzou where the senior Porter was previously on the Women's staff. Real strong chance Blake Harris is back on the market following the house cleaning at Univ of Washington!

Hearing (Twitter FWIW) that Romar himself may be Mizzou bound as an Assistant. And to take the whole class with him? I'd assume he and Martin have some PAC-10 connection.

Harris has been offically granted his release from UW, reopening his recrutiment From what little footage I've seen of this kid, I've always been really high on him. If Waters is truly gone, staff needs to go get this kid.

I understand that things are probably going on behind the scenes right now and next year may be a rebuilding year regardless. But it is frustrating seeing other schools going after players we should be on while we're relatively quiet

Transferring from Mizzou. Started 9 games for them this season. Would he need to enroll at a new school before the spring semester starts to be eligible to play in the second semester next year? If so, that would mean he needs to make that decision in a few days. A lot of moving parts in college basketball these days!!!
