Butler beat UNC 74-66 in 1st round of Atlantis tourney - great win for the Big East

Butler, it seems, has a much btter team than advertised. I watched the game and was surprised how they controlled the boards, especially on the offensive end.

They were 4-14 in conference last year. This year they come out and knock of #5 UNC! GREAT start for the Conference! Let's go Hoyas... keep the streak alive!

As painful as it is to see those words, it is probably fair to say that the new Big East is not as good as either of those leagues, and may never be again (on a regular basis.) Doesn't mean it can't be a great league to watch, with several NCAA tourney teams each year.

Let's wait and see what is left of the ACC in 4 or 5 years after the next round of football realignment grabs Louisville, Virginia, Florida State, maybe even UNC.
