There's always the possibility that some good guards could free up in the spring, too, once the typical coach firings happen. That might be a way to grab somebody at the last minute, you never know. There's also the unlikely, but possible, route of a 4th year graduate / 5th year senior who could come in immediately and help out for a year.
That said, I think we need to crush Xavier tonight and give Kaleb Johnson even more compelling reasons to choose the Hoyas.

Not sure how many people have watched the highlight vid posted by yaboy on the 25th but for my two cents he really reminds me of Roosevelt jones of Butler. He just finds a way to get to the hoop and seemd to have a nice array of floaters, etc. It may not look pretty but it looks damn effective and i would love a player like that on this team. There will be so much skill on this team from the frosh and u need a grinder that can just get to the hole at will.
I think he would be a great addition and we go all in on pgs for 2016

TBird I think Kaleb is more skilled offensively than Aaron at the same stage but not the freaky athlete. I think Kaleb has a better handle and J.

Does getting KJ rule us out with Kodye Pugh? That would be my biggest concern. Kaleb is '15 and Pugh is '16. Yes, both wings, but IMHO there is no conflict. I supposed Pugh might see it differently. If he is not confident enough in his game that tells us something too. Then there is the ever-present "bird in the hand" argument. In short, if we can get Kaleb to commit, we take him.

After that half, he may run for the hills.

And after that game, he's never looking at us again. Although he might come away thinking that nobody on this team merits more playing time than he does, if he comes to Georgetown.

Kids rarely - if ever - look at a bad performance and eliminate a team because of it.
Not how recruiting works.

If he is intelligent, he sees opportunity. That will be the new recruiting slogan. . ."Georgetown--Land of Opportunity."

Kaleb Johnson Improving & Ian Steere Needs Early Attention Carlisle (currently #13 in the Virginia Power Poll) managed to escape with a 60-58 win over Bishop Sullivan Saturday night, and a big reason was their 6'6 senior Kaleb Johnson. The talented scorer didn't quite reach his season average of 24 points, as he finished with 23 against Sullivan, but he did show off development in multiple areas. For one, he's shooting the ball better from the perimeter - Johnson connected on three 3-pointers throughout the evening. Second, he's gotten much tougher at the rim. Part of that comes from the added strength, but the other comes from aggression. He's become much more assertive and willing to play through contact since the summer. Widely considered Virginia's top available high school senior, Johnson recently picked up an offer from South Carolina. Also highly notable on Carlisle's talented roster was 6'7 freshman Ian Steere. The son of a body builder Noah Steere, Ian already has an extremely impressive frame to go along with superior athleticism. He had one of the more impressive plays of the day when he caught and gathered from a standstill and nearly put a dunk down that had the ball close to the top of the square. He finished with 10 points and showcased a load of potential as a multi-position defender. When the first release of Virginia 2018 rankings come out, he'll more than likely debut within the Top Five. - See more at: www.vantagehoops.com/news_article/show/468522?referrer_id=1102873#sthash.Sx3hDfep.dpuf

Welcome, Kaleb!
Do we think he ends up at SG at Georgetown or is the handle/defense not there yet?
